Rongor Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Off topic but what I really want in CA is Drones with target designation and hellfires!! This fellow is absolutely right. Let's get hands on some drones. It shouldn't actually be that hard to implement as most of the mechanics is already there. We would need a UI with some kind of a 3 way split screen offering longitudinal axis nav cam view, a TGP-like cam view to locate, designate and lock targets and a TADS-like map window. There would be options to temporarily maximize one of these three screens or rearrange their windows as needed. All this connected to a small amount of weapon release logic and the ability to remotely steer the drone and/or even let it fly patterns and/or do landing maneuvers automatically using a simple flight model.
CaptJodan Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Something like this? ;) Bye Phant For me, yes, something exactly like that. :) Don't suppose that's available though.

Ermm..looks to me like it's DCS mod . You can see A-10C TAD on the left. It even says A-10 there. Or I misunderstood what you are saying ?

Some of your product was show on military simulation ITEC and I-TSEC annual forums http://www.thebattlesim.com/ That has similar other companies (Concord XXI, Avia Ltd, Dinamika, etc) as show your products on that forums, with products maked on conjunction with ED military division. BaD CrC Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Soooo. If I understand well, to get a realistic predator Sim we need: - a predator 3d model (done) - A10c TAD and moving map displays (done) - A10c HUD in alt+F1 display mode (done) - an "arcade level" flight model to make the predator easily flyable. If I were a modder (which I am not saddly enough) that would be the kind of project with what looks like 90% of the required material already available? Of course it might be a simplistic approach as I am in no way knowledgeable in such type of work, but it really sounds like a quick project with a potential enormous impact on the community. What do you guys think? https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

What do you guys think? I think you "only" need the systems to communicate with operator and lase targets other units and a autopilot and some crude weapons systems. All modding projects (some 3rd party included) look at first they have a good progress until they hit the systems/FM barrier. Nerdwing Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I'd buy a Predator sim first day. Even if its a sort of sim-lite, with mainly the different sensor stuff etc actually modeled.

The TAD and HUD are assets of The Fighter Collection Simulation Engine. DCS: World is a consumer entertainment product that utilizes TFCSE. The Battle Simulator (Which this clip is from) is a professional product.

popov Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 assign landing destination to aircraft Hi, I have just made a mission with a C-17A controllable by player with the CA module and we are having problem solving the mission goal. Is there a way to control the aircraft in order to tell him toland somewhere? or to simply to resume his original flight plan? anybody has any clue on how to solve this? Here is some description for you to understand what I am trying to do with this mission. -- We are escorting a C-17A transport with 2 M2000 to an airbase up north... but during the flight a couple of SAM position have been spotted by friendly and we are asked to re-route the plane to halt our progression until the CAS support manage to destroy the threath for us to pass over when its safe. So basically we would interect on the C-17A during flight with the CA module to alter its course and then when safe send him back to resume its original destination to land, or assign him to land... and here is the problem... we can't find a way once the airplane has been under our control to simply tell him to resume or land :( many thx for your help ! Angelthunder Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 A UAV would go good in a Combined Arms battle. You could use it to monitor enemy troop movements and tanks among other things.
pepin1234 Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Seems to be the perfect module for people using multiple displays and even for multicrew/MP fun... Will be nice a generic UAV integrated in CA. Anyway I believe they have priority first for new graphic engine and terrain and after that make improvements for CA, such have sense. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FoxOne007 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Just to confirm as i couldn't find this anywhere, is it currently already possible to lase targets with the Predator UAV for aircraft like the A-10C? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FoxOne007 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 In the mission editor, yes. You would do this like you would a JTAC. Thanks, thats amazing! Definatly going to give it a try then, Cheers! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
