Just watched the movie again last night. What a masterpiece. I am using that music for the Spit for sure.

Yes yes yes this sounds great and really gives that 40s feel.

It certainly does. I do feel however, that it is more suited to the American effort when flying the P51 for example.

British reserve and all that. :)

Well, wouldn't something like this be fitting as soundtrack for a legendary British aircraft?

Maybe will also be fitting to our first attempts of take off and landings. :D :D

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

Yep, definitely a great choice!

I have to agree with that, it does sound very American and I think something else with a more British feel to it would be better suited to such an iconic British aircraft.

This tune would be great for the P51D.

Of the two versions I prefer the non radio version. Just my $0.02 worth though.

I know that this may sound odd coming from a professional musician, but I could not tell you what any of the soundtracks for any of the modules are. I turn the music completely off.

Why??? I couldn't say.

I have to agree to what was said above, it's nice but a bit far from the Spitfire's spirit :)

Not sure of the status on the author's rights, regarding Vera Lynn or the The Western Band Of The RAF (for who, like me, can't get the video to work in fenderplayer946's post:

).

That would be the most awesome music for the Spitfire, for the Hurricane too, as a matter of fact :D

Unfortunately, film copyrights in the UK go for 70 years, I believe, and the distributors probably have separate copyrights in every major country too .

Without a specific allowance for using the music, for which they'd probably want royalties, I doubt it would ever be possible :(.

Who'd have thought the being the music producer for a software company would be such a PITA :).

Not sure it's just me, but those links don't seem to work with the embedded Youtube player :/

Here's the link to your video, if other have the same issue:

Nice too, I wouldn't be surprised if the Star Wars' theme came from that music... With that and the Millenium Falcon inspired from the B-29, perhaps GL is a WWII aircraft addict ;)

Thanks for pointing that out, the youtube button only needs the "XWXQUhBsUVM" part of the link, if you use the full address then the forum automatically puts in a

around the address making the link to youtube fail

Theme music and some other music from the 70's TV show "Danger UXB."

Perhaps an example of some music with a more "desperate and determined" feel about it, which perhaps reflects the British mindset after enduring the blitz and the threat of invasion.

Sorry, not a fan of the DCS:Spitfire theme. Anything RAF inspired would be good (yes I know other nations flew the Spitfire thanks) or something like the Janes attack squadron theme or something inspired by band of brothers might be more fitting?
