Jagg Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) ***NEW VERSION v1.03P *** DOWNLOAD HERE Hello, from the Frecce Tricolori Virtuali We are a group of friends that love aerobatics flight and would like to emulate the Frecce Tricolori in particular. Our goal is to participate to virtual airshows like VFAT and Virtual Burning Lake with the frecce tricolori's display. Unfortunately on DCS there was not a good enough MB339 for our purposes, so we decided to develop it ourselves, as we did on IL2 1946, mainly for internal use, but given the numerous requests from the virtual flight community, it was decided to release our work to all lovers of MB339 and Frecce Tricolori. After almost three years of work passed between manuals and blue print we have successfully completed the first step of our MOD. In addition to the "PAN" acrobatic version we have implemented the model with armaments and a GPS navigation system; at the moment the damages, that will be added in future MOD updates, are not implemented yet. A great deal of work has been done on the cockpit, almost entirely clickable, yet (WIP), but already widely developed to give everyone the opportunity to interact with the electrical and hydraulic components of the aircraft. We have also added an F4 view with high poly cockpit (still WIP) and the main instruments working for instructors purpose, of course need a good connection between the two clients to work smoothly. Be aware that it’s a WIP with bugs and limitations, we are amateur only and despite we do our best, don’t expect too much... The model is compatible with clean game and official modules but can conflict with some aircraft mods. This is a custom SFM with all the SFM limitations (it does not stall at all), we will do some tuning with future updates but our main project is to develop an EFM, so do not expect much work on this modified SFM. As said before we are not modders or a third party, we did a mod for this specific plane but our main activity is aerobatics flight. This means we cannot give assistance like a modders group or a commercial society would do, we will release updates but please don’t ask us to give daily assistance on the forum, it’s not our job. This mod is absolutely free, but if you want to offer a beer as a thank you can make a donation to the group, we will be happy to dedicate toast at you at our next meeting Features: MB-339 A/PAN clickable cockpit pre/post MLU (external model only) backseat view (F4) with readable instruments (multiplayer also, TrackIR or Oculus recommended)) weapons system custom GPS and ILS custom sound 4 liveries manual (italian only for the moment) *** 3D model & Texture *** Camillo Perinciolo Luca Cirillo Lorenzo Venturi Luca Viero Michele Benini Fabio Grasso *** Flight model & Manual *** Roberto Scolari Alvio Costantini Erik Dattilo Giuseppe Didiano Roberto Petrizzo Francesco Brunetti *** Sound *** Luca Sodano A special thanks to Sidney "Tango" Christen, of the Virtual PC-7 Team, his help has been vital for starting our project open Start up its changed a little bit, throttle does not move until 10%RPM (your throttle its not broken  Edited April 30, 2019 by Jagg 2

Airbuster Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 The model looks pretty good and solid, keep i up. I've seen the MB-399 at USS Intrepid museum and it's a really gorgeous bird. Looking forward to it.

Hawkeye60 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Awesome! "Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."
Sport Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 I'm very impressed and happy with all the "indie" third parties working on modules for DCS of different flavors and varieties. Been a few who have come out of the woodwork lately and it's very promising. Awesome work and keep it up! Come check me out on YouTube! Twitch! Have a listen to the Alert 5 Podcast - YOUR source for the latest combat flight simulation news!

Kerberos.it Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) Hi guys, I'm Luca, PONY6 (second section leader) of the Frecce Tricolori Virtuali aerobatic team. On behalf of the whole group, I'd like to thank you for your support. We are putting our best effort in the development, but as you know without proper "references" it is a very hard and quite frustrating process. The exterior 3D Model is almost completed, the cockpit and its animations are at a good 60%. Overall, we can estimate the 3D model at 30% because shadows, lods, collisions and so on are still missing. That means that the path for a public release is still long, but luckily these aspects are not a priority for our needs as aerobatic team. What we really need is the infamous AFM (or EFM in our case). A plane that actually can't perform simple actions like flying inverted and stalling, can't suit our needs. We started to work on EFM from scratch: first tests are promising (it stalls like expected), but long is the way for a proper flight envelope. Now we are struggling for the backseat implementation (just "visual", not with duplicated inputs and instruments). Why? Because we would LOVE to give a ride to our fans and aerobatic addicted during our training and/or official displays. Who of you flys in VR understands how much immersive (and useful for learning) it can be! Maybe you guys can lead us to some documentation that we missed, if any, about how to implement it. We'll try to keep you updated, thanks for your support again and don't forget to visit our Facebook page and our Youtube channel. Each Thursday we make live streaming of our training, hope you appreciate that! Bye! =OPS=Slider Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 OMG, ride at the backseat of official virtual team would be awesome as (finish by yourself :)). Also I'd love to see other teams at least trying to implement that in their MODs, e.g. VTB or VBA. I can't wait to test it out by myself :D.
