ED Team BillyCrusher Posted January 27, 2017 ED Team Share Posted January 27, 2017 If you use Tacview as mod (DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech\Tacview\bin\tacview.dll), try to delete it. PicksKing
I dont use tacview and have the same issue. Even without any activated mod. I remember the mig21 was very hungry as well but LN fixed it. Rudel_chw
Anyone else who have the same problem, or a solution? I've the same problem, it doesnt seem related to the viggen, since the loading of other modules (for example the C101) also takes forever. I have all Mods disabled, including TacView, so the cause of the problem is something else :( For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

msalama
FWIW, mine seems to work OK, although it took a long time to load - which, I think, is the v1.56 compiling a new shader set when started for the first time. Also, this morning I used the DCS_Updater to convert my DCS into beta 1.5.6 I've disabled all of my Mods, and did a repair as you suggested, however the slow loading of misions persist. For example I tried to load a quick mission of the C-101 (the Free Flight one) since I wanted to check its new updates, but the game gets stuck on the Loading screen of the mission, never reaching the briefing. After 10 minutes of waiting I cancelled the game using Windows Task Manager :( Im enclosing the log and the result message of the repair. PicksKing
The advices from bignewy didnt help for me. Loading needs at least thrice as much time as 1.5.5. After entering the mission I got some loading freezes for 2 or 3 seconds when I pan the camera. And somehow the overall performance is slightly worse but I am not absolutly sure about that. Rudel_chw
I dont understand why people try to use a modded Open Beta. The whole point of a Beta is for testing purpouses with a clean install. So, in your view the 2.0 cant be used along with any Mod, since it only exists in Beta (or Alpha)? ... Mods play a big part in improving the enjoyment that we get from DCS, it would be a shame if they have to be put aside until DCS is fully finished. My view is that the OpenBeta has only a week worth of modifications over the regular 1.5, its not such a big difference and certainly not enough to refrain from using long standing Mods like Devrims english cockpits or Starway's terrain.
