What's your opinion of the Harrier?

Firmek, I can definitely appreciate those comments. My only response about the manuals is that the real manuals for the Harrier are readily available for us to use and are proving to be extremely useful and enjoyable for those of us who want take this to the study-sim level.

Yep...

Well you've already decided to buy the module but I have to say I haven't spent this much time in a flight sim for a long time, it's just so much fun doing a mission, coming back light, and hovering around the airfield and actually be able to park next to something ... this took many many hours and a fine, sensitive joystick to accomplish. But wow is it addicting, and I like to hover with the top down ( or back ) :-)) Oh and I find 83 on the nozzles perfect for VTOL

Can the Hog come to a stop and then land? :D :P

No, but the Mi-8 can. And that is just one of the reasons that "The 8" is clearly the best module ever in the DCS series :D :D :D

I'm glad that the A-10C came before the Harrier because I dunno if I'd have stuck with the A10 after having flown the Harrier. It is definitely going to be my go to ground pounder, just tons of fun to fly. Can't wait for the future updates!

It's new, it's different, and it is a real challenge to fly correctly. What's not to love?

I look forward to seeing it with at least working radios to become really useful in a multiplayer environment though.

I liked the module. I hope to have detailed documentation about its systems. The airplane is unusual, as well as Viggen. Many people are waiting for unusual aircraft such as F-14 or Mig-23 or Tornado. I apologize for my English.

Did some more flying before I went to bed yesterday, and I have no second thoughts about replacing the Mirage. The Harrier has an even nicer cockpit, as well as one of the best feeling flight models right now. And the VTOL is awesome (I have to borrow that Rift from my brother ASAP). I've been waiting for the F-18, but right now I'm feeling I might stick with the Harrier instead.

Content is one of the main things I look for and I'm happy Baltic Dragon is making campaigns for Razbam these days. Just imagine a Strait of Hormuz campaign in the AV-8B!

Between work and small children I probably have my hands full just trying to learn this thing, so it's really no problem that the campaign probably will come late 2018 (my own guesstimate). :)

Btw, Razbams cockpits are among the best in DCS, only Heatblur might edge them. The photorealism really adds to the experience compared to for example the F-86F and the F-5 which I feel looks a bit plastic in comparison.

I feel like I am cheating on the hog... I just can't get enough of the harrier. It's a fantastic module.

Funny you posted this, as I was feeling the same way...but I love the Harrier

The Pilot's manual is available to download for the real thing. That has all the detail you'll ever need.

Hello, is there an official manual for systems like TGP, DMT , FLIR , Weapons ?

Thanks

I wasnt very interested in the Harrier, never have been. Had all sorts of ignorant ideas and opinions about it, and was counting on maybe purchasing it during some super sale in the future.

But as the videos started rolling in, I got more and more curious, and eventually buckled and pre-purchased it.

And man am I glad I did. Even with a module that is far from complete, Im having a fantastic time with it, and it has completely flipped my opinion on the Harrier around. This is a fantastic little bird, and small it is. Great fun to fly, great fun to pound the ground with.

Thank you Razbam for opening my eyes and widening my horizon .

This is a very well done module by some very talented people. I am impressed with just about every aspect of it and can't wait to see it in a more complete state. Thanks Razbam!

Can I just be clear here, someone in this thread mentioned there are no training missions, yet on the blurb page on DCS shop, it states there are. Which is correct?

Is it also correct that there is no manual at the moment?

Thanks.

One of my favorite aircraft ever created. then again..... I have many favorites. I'm an aviation nutcase.

I can't thank them enough for releasing it early. To have it now, with some main systems not implemented yet, is completely cool with me. I'm loving it already and am perfectly stoked learning all the things I can now and moving onto other things as they come out.

I love nearly every single DCS module and own every single one. I respect and appreciate every aircraft for the work put into them, and just the fact Eagle Dynamics and all the 3rd party creators choose this line of work to dedicate their skills to, and create, for everyone, these amazing aircraft, and I hope they all make a great living doing it.

Every time a module, like the harrier, is released, I feel like a kid again. Damn how I wish I had these high fidelity simulations when I was a kid....

Razbam's Harrier, without a doubt, deserves a place among all the other great modules and I can't thank them enough.

Ditto to all the positive comments. Great module, will only get better! Now if only a plane had the VSTOL and speed capabilities of the harrier combined with the loitering and weapon capacity of the A-10!... What? Asking for too much? Haha!
