I have a workaround with some functionality.

 

 

1. For the initial mounting of stores, arm with 5 different weapon types. 1 on each possible pylon.

ie. screenshot 1

 

 

2. Start the jet as normal.

 

 

3. Rearm again with your desired payload (choosing from any of the 5 weapon types you used in step 1). This has allowed me re-arm hot and utilize any of those 5 previously selected weapons in sorties. After re-arming, if you had a weapon system selected on the stores page, you will have to select a different one, then re-select it AFTER the ground crew says "rearming complete" and you see the stores on the wing form diagram update.

 

 

I can clarify in a private message more if anyone desires such, to keep this post from going too long... er...

Can't use A/G Weapons

 

So I've tried to use rockets and the M-82's and they just aren't releasing. I've made sure Master Arm is in the ARM position and A/G is selected as well as the correct store location. When I go to release the bomb or rocket nothing happens. I've check my weapon release bindings and they are correct. In the BIT Error page on the screens, I noticed that WEAP (Weapons) shows DEGD (Disengaged?) next to it instead of GO or RDY. If anyone knows what I might be doing wrong please respond. Thanks!

+1 Having the same issue. Cant even select ag weapons on the sms page even with AG mastermode and master arm on. degd or not working weapons on the BIT page

Shut down the aircraft, rearm, then restart.

 

Does not work. It just works when "re"arming before the first startup. Looks like the weapons stores data isn't being reset on shutdown.

 

But I'll try the workaround until it's been implemented. Was my idea anyway, but just with the 1-3 types I was going to use later on.

Do we have to use easy comms to operate the hornet?

Just for now, it is a beta build. I'm sure this will be fixed in a later update.

someone in a server told me this but if you load them after you start the plane then they won't work. You have to load them before starting the plane for the stores page to see them. I guess a known bug.

You also need to have easy communication enabled. Cause your jet has to be off, and the radios will be off. So you can't load it if easy communication is disabled. Kind of an odd situation lol. I had this disabled and had to reenable it so i could actually load bombs then start the jet... i am not sure what ED plans to do or if they even consider this a bug.

No just open the canopy and it will work without easy communication.

Use the communications key and then the normal ground crew->rearm/refuel option.

(The communications menu key works on the ground, not in the air.)

If you have been in A/A mode you have to select AIM-9 before switching to A/G. Or sometimes selecting A/G gun before choosing bombs or rockets works too.

It seems that the AIM-7 stores options hangs on the DDI even though it shows A/G weapons.

For what it's worth, I had a similar problem last night. I had spent an hour firing off missiles at various unsuspecting transport aircraft before deciding to have a little sport with the locals on the ground in Dubai.

 

After selecting A/G and setting everything else up, I could no longer select any of my A/G weapons on the DDI using the OSB buttons. After a few passes of the "Gushing Oil Derrick" stripper club in downtown Dubai (my intended target) and lots of button mashing, they eventually selected and fired OK. No other system config changes were made during the several attempts - it just started working on its own.

After playing around with fuzing, I noticed that if you have inconsistent fuzing , etc.. set up respectively, the program x's out and the bombs do not come off the rails. For example, I set up a program to drop 4 mk20's in 2's with an interval of 50ft; I set the mode to ccip, the mfuz to on, and the efuz to vt, which caused an error - mfuz and efuz cant be enabled at the same time or maybe mk20's have no efuz so the program is x'd out. I turned efuz off, and left mfuz on which gave me a ht option to cycle dispersal,, which i set accordingly, and the bombs came off the rails as perscribed and detonated. Still fell way short, which I'm not sure why, but it fixed the bombs not falling off rails issue.

 

 

 

In short. check your programs and make sure you're fenced in green across the board before depressing that pickle button.

For me it is more that the storage page is not updated after loading new weapons of another type. Is there a manual method to update the storage page, like in the A10?

Did also work by talking to for example the carrier through COM1/2, but that was A/A weapons ofc since the stores page is "bugged".
