Hey guys,

I'm working it, I had to take a short break for a USAF project that has been a challenge. Production of PointCTRL components continues with others help. I will do the final assembly of this next batch as soon as this AF project is shipped. I promise, no more new government projects until all of the PointCTRL back-orders are filled.

In addition to the above, some of the reasons things appear to be moving at a slower pace is there area lot of guys from FireCats original list that were waiting on v2. We are also initially shipping v2 slowly to ensure there are no issues with anyone's particular set-ups.

Thanks for patience, and I am very aware they may be running out.

Thx...then I did right thing cause I have done that..:). What I have read and heard of this it will make real difference for flightsim playing where are clickable buttons..

 The currently shipping number has not changed in a while because we were shipping kits to a large number of Simmers from FireCats original list, that were either waiting on v2, or were original adopters that upgraded to v2.

Hello Miles, This may of been asked before and if so, I apologize. I purchased one of your point controls a while back and used it for a while. Although it is nice, the problem I have with it is that the cursor moves not only with the hand movements of the FCU but with the movement of your head in relationship with the FCUs. Now I know that this will happen and to ensure that the cursor only moves with the FCU, You must keep your head very steady so as to not make it move in two different planes. One with the movement of your hand and the other with the movement of your head. 

 

Now the question is, can you prevent this from happening by locking the movement of the HMD sensor? Another word, kind of like how trackIr works the sensor stays stationary while the reflectors move only allowing the cursor to move in relation to only one of either the sensor(HMD) or transmitter(FCU).

Hey Metro,
It should not move much, If it's moving a lot, its probably a bad calibration. The cursor will move a bit if the head is moved quickly, but then it should settle back on the same spot. I am working to improve this. I believe it is caused by cursor smoothing that is built into the VR Headset or DCS.
One of solutions I am working on is to read the vectors of the HMD in their native SDK, apply an temporary, and opposite vector to the mouse cursor, and have the PointCTRL sensor applying the absolute positioning.

For now, lets try and do a voice and screen share to be sure you have a good calibration. Just let me know when it's good for you.

LOL. Hey, I was on Discord today but did not see you on. Is there something special to get your attention on the channel to let you know that I am on? BTW, I tried to update the firmware and it looks like it won't. I double clicked the white button, got the chimes but every time pushed a key the screen went away. Nothing.

You have discord to check today current shipped orders. 

Units are about 420 from firecat list, which I suppose is the number you are referring to. 

So most likely buy the end of the month you will receive an Email with further info.

I don't think there is a public tracking number for preorders via pointctrl website.
