Is 2018 release promise still holding? It only says "this winter" now

Some details not show on the HB preview:

- A-6 and KA-6 AI,

- Naval assets as the Forrestal class carriers.

- The old "Carrier Crew"?

- Others AI assets?

 

 

That stuff's going to take a titanic effort as well, not unlike the effort that got the F-14B out the door. I'd say we're going to be electing America's next president by the time we get to play DCS: F-14 the way its meant to be played.

This winter is from 2 to 4 months away. With not something more precise, I think I'd rather wait and pay 10$ more than pay now and wait. Not worth 10$ less for me if I have to wait 2-4 months. Just my thoughts. Excellent presentation though, looks absolutely unbelievable.

My short opinion: The trailer looks very good. The exterior and interior of the plane looks stunning. Amazing work by Heatblur. The fact that the plane will arrive with most features in place at early access is a huge plus.

 

I have preordered, obviously.

 

My only complaint: I hope the Jester AI command menu is still work in progress, because I think it is way too big. It shouldn't block your view every time you want to talk to your RIO.

 

Let's just hope "winter" means the coming winter, and not "winter 2020" ;)

No that's what I had in mind. I looked, but it wasn't under planes so I just assumed it wasn't available. Hopefully we can bind the key to our accounts soon.

Look at their production values, no chance that's a glitch. I thought it was a joke at first (like, you have to wait some more), but it might be a hint for the next update (October 23rd?).

 

But, $70 for only the F-14A & B & RIO AI & A-6 AI & the soundtrack & all features available on release? Very disappointed..

Yeah! With that price they could at least include a personal foot massage and 10 hours of personal training in the Tomcat. Geez, we're barely getting anything... :music_whistling:

Bonus can only be used on old stuff or stuff that doesn't sell well.

 

Are you sure about that? The F/18 for example is in the bonus program. Bonus cannot be applied now on the Tomcat because its on a pre-order discount. I guess when the Tomcat is released for Early Access, bonus points should apply.

 

EDIT. Just read the bonus policy again and indeed there is no bonus for products labelled as ‘new’. Very reasonable indeed. Especially this tomcat deserves every penny and more. Heatblur deserves all respect for this piece of software masterpiece. Cant wait for this winter! :)
