I inquired to TM this week about the F-18 handle and got a terse we have no information. Two E3s and no handle is a bit frustrating. TM customer communications is sorely lacking by today’s standards. It’s a handle and switches to attach to an existing base, not sure why they make this so hard. From day one they seemed to imply additional handles would be offered.

So your choice is to harass them until they tell you something you don't want to hear?

It will be released when it is ready.

Inquiring is hardly harassing. Besides, it's odd there's no additional information yet.

Ever stop to consider why it's taking so long? Maybe they are going to do throttles too. After all, the already have the basic start with the TWCS throtttle...

If they are doing throttles they would have probably showed them at E3. I was told at E3 that the hornet stick should be out this year. Time will tell.

Exactly. If TM thinks people are harassing them about it, maybe they should put something on their website about the Hornet Stick and Throttle...

Would be big news if there was a throttle on their website, given there’s never been a word about one.

As long as the new stick isn‘t available, there is a (very) small hope TM will release a HOTAS Hornet (stick & throttle).

Hopefully, if they go that far, it will also have a new gimball assembly. :)

People talking about the VKB Gunfighter as if it’s ever in stock. It’ll be a year in April I’ve been waiting on one. They don’t exist.

Asked the question and got this (peculiar?) reply from TM. Note: I did not specifically target the Tech Support.

Dear Richard Ingelsson,

Thank you for contacting Thrustmaster Tech Support

We do not have any information that we know of on a new F / A-18 joystick.

I'm sure the social media will be the first to come out with such information; if it ever happens but

for now, we have no info.

Thanks

To ensure the most efficient follow-up of your query, please answer directly to this email (do not open a new ticket).

Kind regards,

Your Thrustmaster Customer Support Agent, Nancy

I think they should have gone with F14 stick. F18 and A10 are so similar, but an F14, that gives TM an opportunity to sell a new throttle/stick bundle. But I guess the market for F18 is bigger.

lolwut?

The A10 stick and F18 stick are nothing alike. lol
