Wait did they give video makers the f14. Because that’s the same thing ED did with the F18 two weeks before release.

Yes, they did:

So you're saying that we can say 'two weeks' without being facetious? Neat!

No, don't count on that.

Same for Viggen. About two actual weeks after the first "press" videos appeared, we had the module. My bet was mid january anyway, though this was the earliest I could imagine.

Keep in mind...

This isn't meant as a complaint but I think the hype train should have waited till there was a firmer release date. We're a week shy of three months since the October reveal and start of prepurchases and I've gone from excited to "Meh... It'll get here when it gets here"

It all makes sense now, press videos just starting to come out (ish) two weeks after initial press vids the module comes out - recently, and ED said the next OB update is the 16th, it just all lines up perfectly, too perfectly. My prediction of the f14 release set in stone is the 16th boys and girls!!!!!! :pilotfly:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it won't be the 16th of Jan for the F-14.

Not with the last newsletter saying LN's Christen Eagle is launching on the 23rd.

Plus Cobra has been pointing out over the last few months that end of March is when it will be out by, and HB or Wags haven't yet posted any official videos for start up/takeoff etc.. as they do just before launch.

They won't suddenly bring it forward by 3 months.

People need to just stop hyping themselves up and just wait. Otherwise we'll just have a repeat of the 21st again.

You are right, we don't have a release date until Heatblur or ED comes around and gives us an exact date. Having these videos simply means we're getting that much closer, which I don't think anyone doubts at this point.

However, I also disagree with you too. Cobra has said we'll have it by late March. Emphasis on BY. Which means we could get it any time between now and then. So Jan 16th isn't ruled out by anything Cobra has said to this point.

And as for the CEII, I doubt that factors into the F-14's release at all. The F-14 has been up for pre-order for a longer period of time and is an 80 dollar module. The CEII is a 30 dollar module that only just went up for pre-order. It seems really odd to me that they'd preempt the release of a more anticipated and more expensive module.

Simply put, the F-14 will release when it's ready. I highly doubt they'd delay it for some arbitrary reason and I highly doubt it'll take all the way into March to complete either. We'll get an exact date when we're super close.

I don't understand this at all. No one *FORCES* people to get hyped up. I mean F14 was going to be released last year, remember? So everyone should have expected March 2019 release as stated on page 1, from the get go. Anything before that is just bonus. With that frame of mind, you can just enjoy the ride until your ride gets released!
