Anyone getting a problem with the A-4e kitted out with MK77 (mod 1) fire bombs? I got instant shutdown of DCS as soon as I pressed the weapon release button?

Delete file "briefing-map-default" located in ...Saved Games\DCS version\Mods\aircraft\A-4E-C\ImagesGUI just can't use A-4E thème :smilewink:

That's great. How did you get the reminder into the cockpit? I have updated the picture, but not sure about the other..

You can find the cockpit texture dds file in the mods/aircraft/a-4e/cockpit/textures folder, its part of the zipped textures file a4e_cockpit_boards, called inst_panel.dds. Just add your text or image to this then resave as a dds file.

I'm trying to do an air-to-air refuel but I can't seem to get my radio to work.

 

 

 

 

pressing comms menu does nothing.

 

 

What am I doing wrong?

The A-4E, being a community mod for DCS, does not have access to the radio and other associated functions as they are locked behind the SDK. Therefore, you will not be able to interact on the radios (Tower, Refuelling etc). You can interact with ground crew with engine off and canopy open.

 

If you play MP, Simple Radio Standalone (SRS) does work well with the mod so you can communicate on the SRS frequencies.

theres also LAlt+comms key to use radio commands, and LCtrl + comms key - give them a try or remap in options

Apparently Comms is not available for A-4.

Radio does not work on MODs. its a DCS thing, you need a propper SDK (software development kit) to implement radios on a module. so only payed modules have radios working.

I have a 24/7 public server called "The Vietnam War" featuring the A-4E-C. Mostly from the US side. It is an edit of Surrexens Operation Clear Field (with permission) so lots of ground attack tasks for the Skyhawk. Carrier and airbase takeoff. There are F-5s for escort/CAP. And Hueys for gunship missions.

 

It is a work in progress but I thought it would help promote the use of this fantastic mod.
