Actually, the catapult shouldn't be that difficult unless one actually wants to model in the launch bar, the shuttle, and have them actually interconnect.

The Nimitz addon modeled into OFP (and ported over to ArmA1) had a working catapult. There was a trigger placed at the location of shuttle. The aircraft had to be within the limits of the trigger in order for the catapult to function. Once the pilot selected the catapult option in the player menu, script would perform a countdown and then accelerate the aircraft from a dead stop to a predefined speed.

It worked great in OFP, but had some bugs in ArmA. I eliminated many of the bugs in the script in ArmA, but could never get rid of the invisible hole in the deck lol!

The Crimean Air Wars mod for FC 1.12 has a Nimitz class carrier in it, but I can't remember how it's catapult system worked.

I'd put in a third request for toe brakes left and right (Assign Axis) on my Saitek rudder pedals... could it be patched in?

Ability to assign TDC/laser designator slew axis directly to a ministick as in Black Shark instead of assigning it to a mouse and using the ministick as a mouse. I believe this applies to CH Throttle, Cougar and X52 ministicks.

Is there a reason why this couldn't be done? Seems like a simple thing.

Add a new condition and a new action at the triger system of FC2 and BS mission editors. The condition will check if an object (airfield, bridge etc) is damaged ( I know there is a condition already but its checks only dynamic objects like a/c, vechicles, ships etc) and the action will repair the damaged object after a preset time.

For example I created a mission at which a vechicle group advance to a neutral airbase to capture it, following a road. At some point there is a bridge and if I destroy it the vechicle group stall there. But if I had the set of codition-action I describe above I could program the mission to check if the bridge is destroyed and if true to spawn an hypothetical enginier group which sould advance to the bridge area. A zone triger should check when that group arrived and should activate the action to repair the bridge.

That way tactical strikes at road networks to desrupt the enemy moves should be more realistic as they just delay the enemy and dont stall their moves for ever.

Same pair of condition-action should help destroyed airfields to repair themself after a preset time and don't just stay destroyed till the mission end.

Also a new action that should give a specific amount of points to all members of a coalition at multiplayer games if they complete a specified goal or set of goals should be a nice addition.

Enemy fear.

Basically a mod in IL2 has guys running from AAA nests and convoys when diving in for a strafing or bombing pass. With the close in action flying the Hog or SU-25, even the BS, it would be cool to see guys running out of convoy vehicles or AAA nests, etc if a Hog is blazing in ready to fire off rockets or the gun!

Really ? you can't control the cursor by hat / ministick ??? this then has to be fixed ASAP

I REALLY MISS having 3D views in loadout and livery setup. (and encyclopedia) i cant stress that out enough ................. for me thats MAJOR step BACK after almost 10 years of such features.

And encyclopedia could use some attention more. There's some more information needed in many systems especially for the uninitiated (eg names missing like Harpoon, HARM, Standard, Hellfire etc and some comments and few more details on exact usage purpose in some cases would be nice)

I could mention lack of artillery range in encyclopedia as i don't really know how far i can put Msta units from destined target. Lack of 3d view in ME is annoying as well, especially as i don't really remember paint schemes especially for Russian planes.

Having loved the vanilla Su-25...

Being able to fly some of the earlier models. MiG 21, 23/27 and 35 would be a blast. Maybe being able to fly in a 1980s environment...

In the ME, the ability to group several trigger zones into a template. We could recreate a cluster bomb attack that way.

Edit: Not having to place every zone again and again and again... obviously
