Did the Mustang got the new merlin sounds as the Spitfire?

As title says, I jumped into the pony today and the engine sound felt wrong. I thought it was broken or on the verge of mechanical failure, like you had some valve rod broken or any other mechanical issue.

 

Is this intended? I know the mustang shares engine block with the spit, but isn't the two merlins different? do they make the same sound?

Yes, Mustang has its own sounds. Cockpit sounds have been slightly modified to match our new cockpit sound recordings from the real P-51 cockpit. If you notice any error, please provide details (with tracks or video)

Partly from our old sound recordings, partly from other sources. Time goes by, equipment is being updated, full recording capabilities also depend on a large number of factors.

I really like the new sound and by the way I didn't use anymore sound mod for the P51. Kudos to the sound modder!

Yea I came for the same reason.

 

Obviously I haven't got in P-51D recently. Today it's impossible to not realize the new sounds.

 

Will not lie, my ears wanted previous sounds for a while, but I'll get used to this one after a few flights.

Outstanding! Now the P-51 feels like a real warbird! I noticed that it's not only the engine sounds that were updated, but other misc items, like the canopy open/ close sound? I may be wrong though. Anyhow, the Mustang got the sound it deserved and the immersion doubled. Thank you!

I find it rather nerv wrecking, sounds like a sewing machinecto me. If it's like that in RL then thanks for the update, maybe I just don't like it.

Sounds are still in beta and will be updated. But most likely you can get the update only with the new version of the DCS

I Love the new Sounds for P-51 and the Spitfire!!! Hope the Sounds for German Warbirds will be Updated also a bit:))
