Cobra

I like the sound of the Huey engine although I don't know if it actually uses the same engine anymore but from the ones I've heard it sounds pretty cool anyway. Also I like skids on a chopper, for some reason it looks better to me... As you can see my decision is based purely on what matters in an attack helicopter, sound and looks ;)

Ka-50, and it was even before this sim I swear :) I allways liked it because of it's rotors, and because it looks so "russian". Something about russian military aviation that looks very cool to me :D

Huey is also a favourite!

It will never be in use.

AH-64D Apache Longbow

I loved Jane´s Longbow and Longbow 2, logged many many hours in those two and especially enjoyed human pilot and gunner with a friend via LAN.

Where's the UH-60? (actually, the seahawk's even cooler. ASW!)

Ya, Comanche's pretty cool, but...

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

MH-60 PaveHawk & MH-53 PaveLow... I'd love to take these for a CSAR ride in DCS some day in the future. Night-time NOE flying for miles on end and then meeting a Herc for A2A refuelling during the early dawn...

That is not easy to answer.

From the pure looks the Mi-24D Hind. As most inventions from the Russian side, it's simple, basic, design for field-use and deadly.

Overall I prefer the AH-46 (especially the Longbow), though. A great design and comparing numbers of units and mission successes to losses in a terrain with extremely little cover at all, the AH-64 has nothing else to demonstrate, IMHO.

In LB2 I prefered the Blackhawk and the Kiowa, though.

A small sidenote to the "fasted Helo" - during my time in the Germany navy we lost 4 or 5 Lynx, thank God with no crew losses. Best was during a mission in the Med. The Pilot had to train a landing with one turbine and deactivated the Engine No1 just before beginning the approach. When he almost touched down the other engine failed and sent the Helo to water. For some odd reason it stayed above the surface, the crew escaped unharmed and the frigate turned to save them and the Helo. As they got closer they minimally touched the helo and it instantly vanished in the sea. The Captain laughed out and said "Scratch another one". It was the 3rd on this mission....
