The black radome was 1 of the first things that changed from block 1 to block 5. Pilots complained it was to easy to spot the VIper in A-A engagements.

Yeah, it wasn't really about who bought what and why, it was due to a comment being made that if the F-16 doesn't receive GBU-39 (which is realistic - SDB came on M6.1 starting circa 2011, we have at best M5.1 circa 2008), then it can "hardly be called a multi-role fighter" - which is just wrong.

Thats not what i was saying...

 

Those were specific demands which came later and is something different than the fact the F16 was designed to be a light weight fighter jet in the very begining

The USAF and (later) EPAF countries later decided it needed to be multirole.

No, highly unlikely. Actually, they aren't even planned to be coming to those modules at all.

I want to add SDB to the F-16 since it can carry it in real life.  I have seen video out there with the jet carrying the bomb in DCS.  Would someone point me in the right direction on how to add it to the load outs?

Oh man, how I wish I could load up my Viper with GBU-39 SDBs! Imagine—eight precision bombs, four AIM-120C AMRAAMs, plus fuel tanks, and you’re set for any mission. Absolute perfection.

And before anyone chimes in with, "BuT tHiS mOdEl NeVeR cArRiEd ThEm!" or "ThEy DiDn'T uSe ThEsE bOmBs In ThOsE yEaRs!"—I don’t care. I just want my F-16 loaded with eight precision bombs, end of story.

If they’re considering adding the F-35, then why not throw in the GBU-39 SDB for the Viper? Makes perfect sense to me!
