Anyone else experiencing rain coming through the roof of the hangar?

Should I call in a craftsman that can fix my roof? 😆

Anyone know if Wags is available, I hear he is a good maisonry worker 🤣

@odin_nor1 The U.S. government got a really, really good deal on buying porous cement since it was on sale.  Now, they get to spend the money saved by plugging up the holes in the tabvee's ceiling.  Nothing like military intelligence at work :).

Maybe he is but considering his situation suggesting working on the roof I find a really bad taste joke.

Not a great deal, but hearing water drop on your canopy INSIDE a hangar seems to say a lot either about roof or programming.. 🙂

No.  I am a fighter pilot and an officer.  I want ED to model a little enlisted airman holding an umbrella over my head whilst feeding me my pancakes before my dangerous mission.

Looking for some recommendations on how to repair a few leaks in the roof of a metal hangar. What do you guys recommend?

Best thing you can do is wait or fly only during sunny weather

This has been discussed before. DCS doesn't attempt to model the effects of external structures on the rain graphical effect, and given the resources necessary to both code this (e.g. developer time), and to run it (CPU/GPU usage), it might well be seen as a poor choice to try to do so. Failure to model the entire physical environment DCS operates in is not a bug.

Thanks Andy. I did try looking for it but came up empty. It was worth a try I suppose.

@BIGNEWY When you bumb it, maybe you could suggest a little workaround. Insted of moddeling the physics for the roof, maybe they can make a zone inside the hangar in which you dont´t see the rain on your canopy. I´m actually working on a campaignmission where we spawn in a hangar in bad weather and a lot of things are going on outside (enemy attack with cruise missiles, explosions, own air defence fire). Sadly you cannot see much of the show outside due to the blurry water on the canopy. This hopefully little fix would solve this. It also would add to immersion if the rain on your canopy starts just as you leave the hangar. If it is not too much of work, they could consider it in the not so far future?
