The coordinates you're given are in degress minutes decimal minutes.  The PP mode of the JDAM currently does not accept those.  You'll need to put them in as a waypoint, set your JDAM to TOO and designate the waypoint in order for it to work.

Really enjoying this campaign. I did notice a bug on mission 5, though. When heading back to the carrier they call you in for a CASE 3 approach, even though it's day VFR conditions?

That’s a DCSism, not a bug;).

I agree, there is certainly enough light for a case one approach, and landing, the only way around it would’ve been to set the mission. 20 minutes later.

I thought it was important in terms of the storyline to have the action happened at the change from dark to light, presenting new challenges for the pilot, in terms of NVG/Mk.1 eyeball.

I wish there was a way we could influence that a bit better.

You can ignore the ATC and go in and land Case I if you want. You’ll still progress in the mission.

I'm just guessing, maybe CASE III is mandatory until official sunrise time on that specific geographic location, just as in RL? Enough or not enough light is a bit subjective.

Possible, though the sun is well and truly above the horizon at the time the player is inbound.

Great campaign! I'm half-way through and really enjoying it.

I just 'completed' the SEAD hawk at Bandar Abbas mission (miz 6?), although both times I flew it I got a 'draw'. Both times I launched both harms and landed on the boat.. The second time the harms killed 2 components of the site. I was doing pre-briefed shots. Is there some conditions I'm not meeting to get the 'success' on that one?

Small bug report - some kneeboard cards have the wrong push time. I noticed this on this mission (:20 not :40) and on one of the earlier missions.

And final question, should I be being 'pushed' to marshal on these missions? I usually get the message to fly direct to the carrier, but then when I get to 50 MI I hadn't been pushed to marshal freq and so I switch myself. Do I get 'pushed' over closer to the carrier and I just need to wait till I'm closer and already within the marshal's airspace?

Yes, just wait for the push to Marshall. Sometimes it’s 20-40 miles out, depends on the mission. It’s possible that’s why you didn’t score a complete but I’m not sure.

Every frequency change in the campaign will be directed one way or another so don’t do anything on your own. It will happen in its own time.

cheers,

Mate, just finished Mission 9 ,all I can say is that I'm thrilled by this campaign. I like all the aspect of how you worked out this gem.

Sedlo - Just wanted to pop in and say Thank You for this campaign.  I am just 2 missions in.  Very impressed by your work and attention to detail.  I really like how you force the player through radio channel changes that trigger events.  I also have to say thanks for leaving 9-Line details on screen a bit longer for us VR players!  Also, your voiceover content is top notch and goes beyond just voice actors into post production editing (static, pops, low power, etc.).

As others have said, this rivals any campaign I've purchased.  Anyone who flies the Hornet should consider this "must play" content.

Looking forward to experiencing 11 more missions.  Thanks!

I've posted monthes ago about this campaign and i can say it is a blast to fly, and your campaign Sedlo is on par (may be superior in certain areas) with the paid ones 🙂

I think he would have truly deserved the money from the campaign sales if he had decided to publish it as originally planned.

Hey Sedlo - or anyone else that might know the answer here.  What is the sound ELT.OGG representing?  I about jumped out of my skin when I first heard it.  I've now encountered it an a couple of missions and don't know what its telling me.  From the sound of it, it seems pretty important.

Also ... I consider myself an intermediate ME guy.  I like to build missions for my MP flying buddies.  I think of them as "campaigns for MP" and try to make them engaging.  Most of them never see the forum light of day.  Anyway, looking through the triggers to see where this sound was triggered, humbled me greatly.  I gave up looking and came here for the answer.

Thanks!

Attached is the sound.

Attached is the sound.

It is the signal transmitted by the emergency locator transmitter, a radio beacon which helps to locate a downed aircraft and/ or airman. Should transmit on 121.50 MHz, 243.00 Mhz and 406 Mhz (or 406.5 MHz- I am not sure on this one) Some of them are portable, others afixed to the aircraft and I think that the military uses the portable variety.

So whenever a flight goes down and pilot ejects, this sound triggers?  As long as I'm monitoring guard, I'll hear it.

Good to know.  I will keep this in mind for future missions.
