Apologies, I was unclear, ack that Mi8 doesn't have a trim hat.  I was referring to general trim usage on other aircraft.  FFB is enabled in settings.  I've only had time to try the Moza once, so haven't diagnosed this properly.  In the Harrier I flew last night, I was expecting the trim hat to move the stick but it did not.  Does it need to be in "Telemetry" or "Direct Input"?

To be honest, I haven't flown the Harrier for years, so I'm not sure if it supports it out of the box from Razbam. I'll check in a minute though. What other modules do you have?

Well since the update my AB9 keeps crashing even after a new clean install of DCS!! Just tested in MSFS to make sure the new MOZA software and firmware perform ok and not a hint of a crash or glitch. Even though DCS now runs, and I mange to start a mission, ie Spitfire Cold and Dark, and I taxi out and take off, the MOZA software will crash soon after. Not sure whether there is a fix I can do or just wait for MOZA and/or DCS to come up with a fix.

The trim hat, if mapped correctly, will move the stick in the Harrier. What grip did you put on the Moza? You did rebind your hats and buttons? And you need to swap axis under FF tune.
Only the owner guys can answer this. I do think Direct Input will give you DCS settings/effects OOB, while for other effects you need telemetry.
Cheers!

  • In DCS:
    • Settings - Misc. - Force Feedback is enabled.
    • Settings - Special - AV-8B NA - Force Feedback Enable Trim Offset is enabled.
    • Settings - Controls - AV8BNA:
      • Harrier control trims all rebound.
      • FFB Fune - Swap Axis enabled.
  • In Moza Cockpit 1.0.1.19:
    • Force Feedback Mode: Direct Input.

I have the F-14, but I don't fly it and it isn't configured.  I'll have a quick look at that.

Edit: I went to the Moza Discord and found this: https://discord.com/channels/976306826947743766/1256104835200188478/1290272053009842206 which seems to resolve the issue.

Swap Axis enabled must be enabled on all ffb, I read that it was mainly for MSFFB2 to compensate for the hw problem?

Well that’s disappointing.

I ordered an AB9 directly from MOZA 8 (business) days ago, so am expecting the unit to be dispatched.
The order is still showing as processing.

It’s worth MOZA remembering that I’ve had to pay extra to have it shipped from overseas, as against via an in country vendor, meaning that they make more profit from a direct sale.

I can’t say that it creates a good starting impression

How so? It's a brand new product, production is just ramping up, this is no difference with new release GPU's being hard to come by (and those are much larger companies)

Local vendors here in Belgium sell them (pre order) for € 600. If i wan't to order them direct i have to pay € 690 (and probably import duties as well?). I will wait till i can order them locally, if it don't like it i can easily send it back.

The MOZA website states that orders for the AB9 will be dispatched within 7 days.

As witwas has pointed out, if I buy from a local retailer (who won’t have stock until Nov), I pay £550.

If I buy via MOZA, it’s £550 + £90 in postage.  So I’m paying extra to buy from MOZA AND they’re avoiding the retailers margin.  The only reason I’ve done it is the statement from MOZA about their dispatch and shipping timescales.  If they could meet that, I didn’t mind.

As is, there’s going to be no benefit to buying from them, so I’m about to cancel my order with them.

I understand annoyance. Such a practice is not unusual or strange though - dealer buys in bulk, so he gets much lower prices than individual client coming directly to producer and can keep them lower even after applying his margin.

I saw it on daily basis when I worked in logistics dept of one of the biggest worldwide corporations offering equipment for fire safety, building automation and medical industry. We added a hefty "penalty" margins to any individual client invoices below certain value to "discourage" them from buying directly from us and push them to one of our dealers. Seemed a bit brutal and illogical at first to me, but made sense from order processing cost vs income point of view - when excel spreadsheets come into play, nobody gives a F about individual buyer feelings.

Granted, that was orders of magnitude different scale of business compared to a flight sim hardware company in China, but I've noticed the same phenomenon years ago when I bought TrackIR - got it in one of popular US flight sim stores as it was much cheaper than in NaturalPoint store directly, and since cross-Atlantic shipment and custom costs were the same anyway, the choice was simple for me.

In your case I guess it indeed comes down to dispatch time and whether it's worth premium. Can they really ship the base faster to you than to local dealers? We'll find out soon I guess. Keep us updated, please.

This was my point a few pages back that I got some flack for. I placed my order in June and some people were placing their order and receiving theirs.

So I emailed them and had mine shipped out. It seems that their logistics are not very good so you will need to give them a Prod.

All set up and working as best can be as Firmware is still been updated having some very good results. There is another update due very soon. (My desk is a work/Gaming/flight Pit)

To the right under the desk you can see my AVA door stopper- waste of money if i knew the Monza was coming out Iwould not have brought it!!!!!

I had a preorder with a retailer here in Australia.  This morning I received a call from the retailer informing me that the ETA had been pushed back from October 27 to sometime in 2025.  They offered (and I accepted) a refund, and I've just ordered directly with Moza.

At this stage I'll be shocked if it arrives before December, but some small part of me holds out some hope that they've actually got the bases in stock and they'll be able to ship it within a couple of weeks.

Did you happen to notice the Asterisk?

Now let's look at the shipping information on the site

Lo and behold:

Shipping Time and Rules

For non-pre-sale products, MOZA Racing Store processes the order within 3-5 business days (*shipment times for each product vary depending on availability)

Did you happen to notice the Asterisk?

Here's a tip for the future: Read the fine print!

If not only to save yourself from disappointment, but also to prevent yourself from venting your grievance publicly and then being rightfully accused of unjustified entitlement and misplaced indignation

Before you ask: Yes, I'm talking from experience, and many of us have been there ...live and learn

This time you look foolish over a simple sale, no casualties but perhaps your pride, next time it might be something more impactful, like your job contract

I'm sorry, but I don't see how the fine print helps here.  I'm not talking about how long it takes to ship, rather that it's yet to be dispatched and is still in processing.

Take another scan at what you've posted and see how that makes any difference to the fact that they'd not met their stated service on dispatching the product.

of course it's still processing, there is no stock, therefore, no dispatch, therefore, no confirmation of shipment

How is a company able to change a status when it's waiting on the most important thing before being able to advance?

You see it, but misunderstand it, the whole 'processing' is the entire procedure, the last part in this procedure is the shipping, this entire procedure is subject to availability, that's where the asterisk does its job

Sidenote: The term "processing your order" doesn't even guarantee you're purchase will be honored, they can just as easily cancel it

"We processed your order, but due to [insert reason here]  we can not deliver your this product" is a statement not alien to the world of business

What do you think happened to a rejected mortgage request? ...it was processed by the bank and denied

Anyone tried it with DCRealistic? How would that play like?

Why would that be a problem? DCSRealistic just adds sound effects (and some camera shaking), but nothing FFB related.

I can’t say for Moza, but it isn’t a problem with the Rhino.

Where in my word mentioned "problem"? 🙄  I say how it would feel like when both come hand-in-hand. That's all.

Why so touchy? I just said it isn’t a problem. They don’t interfere with each other at all. DCRealistic has a free trial - just try it.

I only like s few of the effects really well,  but those alone are worth it. Tire screeching on touch down is probably my favorite.
