Now, I can test the only thing that matters to me; has the hard freeze of PC that was introduced with the Phantom release fixed or not. Prior to that, I rarely had any crashes or freezes. After that, in MT, I pretty much experience a freeze every single time I run DCS, and in ST, roughly about 20%-30% of times.

No luck! It froze fifteen minutes into a single player mission with Phantom in the MT. This is not good. My preference is not to play with ST since it is supposed to go away anyway and MT has to be stable enough, but also, there is a one major issue with it, and that is the VR yellow mouse pointer in MT is black color in ST! That makes it near impossible to see the knobs and switches and operate them at night missions (which I fly a lot). There is always something. Can never enjoy DCS at its full potential 😞

Hmm OpenXR toolkit no longer being supported is a bit of an issue for me, since without it I get flickering in my right eye and pretty horrible screen tearing.

As for this patch, yes except for the FC3 authentication problem I had to rebind my throttles in several modules, and my rudder pedals suddenly stopped working... Luckily I got it fixed again...

I have just installed the new update and I have a graphics problems.

From a long distance, targets at TGP screen appear as containers or blocks. But when I get close enough (1 or 2 miles), they appear correctly. However, they once again become containers o blocks at a certain distance. It is crazy to see a container shoot you down.

Does it happe to anyone else?

Patch has worked seamlessly for me. Everything working as before. Key bindings all good no issues.

The new Afghanistan terrain is very impressive. The up dates to South Atlantic are also very good indeed.

I have experienced smoother FPS over terrains too and I play exclusively in VR. (Crystal)  I haven't yet tried out the winter Kola terrain. 

Top stuff ED. many thanks and yes, thanks for the F15E radar fix.

One small issue. When assigning functions with my HOTAS, Saitek X52 Pro on the new FC 2024 aircraft, occasionally when I press a button it will not assign the function. I click cancel, re-open the control assignments settings menu and that will fix the issue and I can continue with assigning functions.

F-5E is nice. Easy to fly, a bit under powered though that is expected. I wish we could get a variant that could carry more AIM-9s and the AGM-65s. Maybe something they will look into in the future?

Holy cow thanks for bringing that up: I didn't even know about that.
I just installed it, and it improved my framerate so much I am actually CPU-bound now at times in light missions! 🙃

Been troubleshooting my Tobii eye tracker since the update. Tried several different fixes but still getting the, "cannot track game window", from the Tobii software even though it sees the game running and DCS shows I have an eye tracker connected. From reading this thread it seems there are quite a few issues with this update. Anyone else having eye tracker issues?

If you haven't tried the winter season yet on Kola, I recommend the full moon.

Also highly recommended same date and time on Caucasus in the Kiowa.

Oh boy, even better on the new 'Stan map.

Really? Got a link for that?  Uninstall OXRTK completely or just disable??  I noticed that it was disabled when I first went into VR, but then I enabled it. Had  a rough VR time in Multiplayer maybe this is why?  Darn, I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked having the OVERLAY in addition to everything else. Maybe I will turn everything BUT the overlay off 🙂

FC3 planes lost have not had time to check bindings or in game yet.  This should be rolled back or patched quickly.  The launcher was a waste of time !

I'm also having problems with the throttle. Most of my modules can't fly because of this bug. Even Kiowa was hit.

Cant steer the carrier, or turn light on/off in new air boss view...I see panels, but when clicking on them nothing happens? How do you steer carrier?

Some changes are in FLIR, unfortunately what happened in my opinion is worse. The last version was quite ok, now the picture looks different than before the patch and the differences are smaller instead of bigger.

-No FC3 authorization;
-Something has changed in the graphics (for better);
-I use Z key to reset my headtracker. Somehow, it doesn´t work and when I go to Opentrack to re-register the Z key, every single time, the key pressed are registered as "Ctrl+Alt+Z", not Z.
-The new menu is great, but is only a screen more to load, after all. When we will replace the old menu?
-Many friends AND users are complaining with the use of mouse. It cause stutters everytime.

anyone has an Idea, how dynamic spawn works in singleplayer?
It seems, that SP is still using the old-old system. Like filtering was not implemented in SP.
additional it seems, that the dynamic spawn button is not translated, saw that on a screenshot, not by myself.

Was playing with the F-86 in Afghanistan. Since when is she so wiggely with outer external tanks? Could that be something connected to the thrust problem I - tbh just rushed by reading.

The handcontrollers work in the new Launcher window, but then you are still in the "PC interface".

As soon as DCS starts up, no more handcontrollers. They are still enabled in the DCS settings as before.

I use Quest 3.

edit: on discord more users are having same issue....

 

 

I just did a quick test with no HOTAS stuff attached with my Q3 and I could use the controllers - but I'm running Virtual Desktop. Most users still prefer inferior link calbes for some odd reason... rdlaugh.png.pagespeed.ce.24Wg8GFvJL.png

Totally agree, that list has to be swapped for base-specific lists.

Noticed too, we have a lot transitions like this on this new map, doesnt look good. This example isnt too bad, but with green fields looks worse. I’ll open the topic about it in the Afghan map corner.

The answer is simply, link cable has better compression, its very visible. On air link you can use only 250 Mb/s bitrate, on the cable 960. Near 4x more.

All up and working also VR with XRTK only.

Created new shortcuts for bin and binmt placed on desktop all good 60 fps

Yes, for me with VR everything is ok, I noticed that OXR Toolkit was reseted only and I needed set up it again but everthing works fine (I dont use quadview btw).
