fixed Launcher keeps resetting some settings

Checked, right :(, even if is not ticked on the beginning Easy Com is on still. You have to again go to settings hit ON, next OFF, and OK at the end, so more to do than with Launcher. Looks like hard coded!

Maybe it was the same for me, I didn't remember. However now it stays OFF when launching DCS from shortcut.

@equinox137 Maybe try editing it in Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua

Always back to ["easyCommunication"] = true, so it doesnt work.

I've made the following test:

1. Backup your options.lua file.
2. Open your options.lua file.
3. Replace every "true" by false", except :
   • ["autologin"] = true
   • ["launcher"] = true
4. Save the modifications.
5. Open DCS, the launcher appears.
6. The following changes are observed:
   • aircraftMode was added and equals true,
   • compassTape was added and equals true,
   • easyCommunications changed to true
   • easyRadar was added and equals true
   • spectatorExternalViews changed to true
   • tacticalMap was added and equals false
   • userMarks changed to true
   • selectedLanguage was added and equals "en"
   • "mirrors" line was removed
   • "reflections" line was remove

It's now reported.

If you spot other settings that keep getting changed by the launcher, please ping me.

As long as these options exist in Release, yes: their new value is taken into account.

I'm finding that the OG interface doesn't save Communications settings anymore since the New interface. I keep getting sent back to Easy Communications.

If you disable the launcher it will stop messing with the easy communication and mirror on/off settings

Not solved, I have still Easy com ON when I launch DCS. Easy Com = off, ok, restart, now its ON again.

My fix for this was pretty easy. Well, a workaround. I have been using Skatezilla's launcher for years. With it you have the option to skip ED's launcher, and then all the problematic settings are saved. I even don't get the FC3 availability notification anymore. I will check tomorrow if the option to not use ED's launcher was saved launching directly.

Yes, solved, looks ok now (checke Easy com so I think the rest is ok too).

Do you still have the issue with mirrors or is it only me? I've check again just in case. I use profiles "Custom 3" for VR and "Custom 2" for pancake. Mirros get always disabled after changing profile. I was playing VR in Custom 3, I have manually check mirrors on settings, exit DCS and start he launcher again, click "Save" on Custom 3. When starting DCS mirros are on. After I change to Custom 2 mirrors are unchecked. I check it and then save Custom 2. Again after switching to Custom 3, mirrors are disabled.

 

EDIT: attached custom profiles. There are no mirror settings on either of them I think.

EDIT2: only happens for mirrors now for me, easy comms was fixed

 

I don't think it is related, but I also have another bug where I do not see all available modules to buy
