What about the damage modelling for example ?
Seems weird to put this just under the remastered F5E category and then giving random other things that both the old and new modules will receive a few lines after.
This youtube comment from the ED video did a much better job of explaining the differences in my opinion.

A-10C and KA-50 Both got revamps already, they were the 2 oldest DCS modules.

I apologize that I can't find the source, but I believe they are working on the radar. I think I read that around 2-3 months ago. If I find it I will edit my post.

That would be cool, it's probably worth $10 anyway. But I didn't see it mentioned in the news advertising this upgrade.

Looks like "complaining" for any new stuff coming is the new "cool thing" among many DCS users nowdays.

I feel like if they're charging for artwork and minor fixes they should also bring in a new variant. Example, a number of F-5Es received some moderate upgrades to carry four AIM-9s or AGM-65s.

 

It would be nice if those versions were added in a bundle, for something like $20-30 (depending on the variant/work required) upgrade for existing owners. If I recall a number of countries modified the F-5E after delivery for two extra AIM-9s under the wing and it was a quick and easy modification. Something like that would be nice if it was included, but for the AGM-65 variants I assume more changed to the cockpit and whatnot would be needed.

That would be nice.

However I'm wandering why we cannot have an F-20 Tigershark: that whould mean not only AGM-65 but AIM-7/AIM/120 too (and 4x AIM-9)!

BTW this is a good business model, people should be happy to pay a mere $10 for an upgrade. If we don't pay anything, and the base game is free, there is little reason for ED to  update these old, more  niche modules.

Yes I understand, but those two (Huey, Hip, F-86...) came long before the F-5E.

Im not complaining about the F-5E getting updates at all. What makes you think Im complaining about one of my favorites? Simply stating a fact is not complaining.

Sorry if I misunderstood, a lot of us have been begging for a revamped UH-1H. Theres a community 3rd party modder rebuilding a model of it from scratch IIRC and it feels like the Belsimtek modules have been forgotten about (except this one).

And I totally understand your point: I had to wait for this remaster of my beloved F-5 for a while too.

It probably depends on how much interest there is around the specific module, but I think that ED will update all the old modules as they already did for A-10, KA-50 and now the F-5E.

For comparison, the $10 upgrade to the A-10C brought us entirely new and complex systems like the HMD, and many artwork upgrades, plus FM fixes, were also transfered to the original A-10C even if you didn't purchase the $10 upgrade.

As it stands now, the F-5 upgrade does not bring the same value as the A-10C-II upgrade did.

What I wish the most is for the F-5E to come with the aerial refueling probe, but regardless I will buy the remastered version. The digital radios too. These radios here. The refueling probe could be an option to add or remove. It is up to the pilot.
