104th_Crunch Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Well, these kind of things happen. They have no easy task ahead and have set lots of goals for a smaller developer. It Is very nice to get updates at least to know progress. I just wish they were working on NONE of this stuff and instead were working on DCS:Su-27 :) 2
joey45 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 ref the patch...fix one thing and brake another etc,etc.. I can live without the patch for the time being... and what beta tester application thing???? The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Mustang Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Patch delayed? well, it's not so bad, i mean it's not as if stock release DCS:BS has issues that render it unuseable ;)

BTTW-DratsaB Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Thanks for the news Wags, I really appreciate the updates, even if it does contain news of delays or whatever (not that long anyway), it's nice to be kept in the loop. So thanks again! 5- Lock On: Flaming Cliffs. As mentioned in the last update, we are working on a further evolution of this product line. However, until the software is essentially done, we will not be discussing this in any detail. Sorry. Obviously they cant discuss it in any further detail :), but for speculation's sake what is the "software" they are eluding to? Is this the FC patch or some other thing relating to DCS and FC maybe? Like I say, speculation :D Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64. claud Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 what can i say these things takes time...when it comes to our sims we act like 5 year old kicking and screaming going " gimme my new DCS patch/plane now!! " .... but if we want a good sim we have to wait... i would love to see DCS: F-16 hehe but lets face it , doing the helicopters and the A-10 takes a long time so imagine how long will it take to start making fighter jets with their complicated Radars/pods/jammers... i predict 2-3 years till we see the first fighter plane , this is just a fact of life if you want something good it takes time... so meanwhile we will continue to bitch and whine cause heck what else are we gonna do? thank eagle dynamics? no no we cant have that...gimme F-16 now!!!! muahhah.... i simply hate choppers but i love DCS black shark because i see how much effort is put into it giving me hope that the F-16 will kick ass when it will be released...
Kuky Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Don't know why a patch for Black Shark is so required... the game in original state is very fine already and very playable and I personally haven't noticed any major bugs (I know there will always be some stuff that could be improved). The only thing I heard of needing fixing was trim... er... typos in the manual and some incrrect stuff. What else did I miss? (sorry I'm not very frequent chopper flyer so I'm probbably not up to date and I still preffer the fixed wing aircraft) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
connos Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Thanks for the update Wags. I really cant wait for the patch to be released with the new Trim implementation and AI fixes. Keep us updated... korrea Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 This is the best gag : 3- DCS: Black Shark Localization. Our localization manager and the dedicated Spanish translation team are working very hard on finalizing the Spanish version and are now at the release candidate stage. Spanish translation team never work!!!! :megalol: ()
159th_Viper Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Don't know why a patch for Black Shark is so required... Good Question! I agree that the Mission Editor in a Multiplayer environment has ripped the Heart and Soul out of many an attempt to build a decently operative MP Mission........apart from that, what is so vitally important that cannot wait a coupla months? I cannot assume that we have all mastered the Whirly-Bird to such an extent that we can call ourselves 'competent' in all aspects of piloting the Kamov - surely not! Use the time wisely and get to master the Helo rather than berating the Dev's for having the 'audacity' to postpone a release for 45 days....... 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? sobek Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I find it good that ED have decided to step away from the track training system. It is so awkward to use IMHO, i only tried one mission and didn't find it very helpful. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
graywo1fg Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 the only vital bugs i can think of for the patch would be the "Laser burn out bug" where flying for around 20 to 25 mins with the laser in standby the switch will then think its off and then turning it off then on does nothing and you have to go repair..... and then the problem a few people have with hosting where you have port translation where the master server randomizes your port even though you set it up to be 10308. thats the problem i'm having and the port randomizes every 15 mins someone is not in the server. thats why my server is passworded :( so the people that use it can remote admin it and change the port to the newly randomized one. but 2 more months isnt bad.... unless it gets delayed again.
