AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

At this point I'd settle for an upgraded external model of the F-16. I wonder what happened to it, considering other Lockon models were upgraded in the course of time.

Not all models: it still remains the old, hugly 3D model of the Su-27 from Lock on, damn it! >:(

Yeah, we have the 3DGO model, but why not update the first old star of the series? Maybe with a clickable cockpit? :D

^^ THAT!

especially the second one..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Considering there are a few Vietnam War era aircraft being developed by 3rd party devs, I would be ecstatic to see an F-4 be added in there.

Corrected you.

Nice plane on that gun...

Because the creator of the poll only put US planes on it and the next plane is supposedly US fixed wing The poll doesn't mean anything.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

F18C a must or not?

So after the small updates we had the past few weeks with the new autoupdater ( Thanks ED ) im amazed by the quality of the new model of the F18C. Everytime i see the bird ingame i just wanna fly it ! Not just FC style no the full shabam !!! AFM, clickable and lickable :)

Please ED make this baby a true DCS product :)

Attached a little poll to see how many people feel the same when playing the game/sim.

I'd rather see the "Super Bug" in it's current E/F version. I've worked around the F/A-18C and the majority of the pilots who've flown both have told me that they prefer the E/F... then again, that was over 8 years ago.

Still, the "C" is being slowly phased out of the Fleet and I'd rather see the newer version inside DCS myself.

I think the most wanted DCS installment is the Super Hornet with working carrier operations, aswell as the Mig 29 or Su-27.

Agreed

Who voted no? I will track you down and Hornet you to death!

Long time fan of the F/A-18 series, any variant would do but im a sucker for a legacy Hornet. It has plenty to offer the simulation community from naval operations to strike to air to air. Many, many amazing hours of flight simming would come from a DCS treatment.

I'm more for the old version. I don't think DCS would be perfect with modern stuff due to too much classified stuff. I would prefer to have accurate A/C from era between WW2 and the 90's, than actual aircraft with several parts made out of imagination because classified IRL.

Was thinking the same and besides i think the C looks sexy

I sincerely hope that the next official module will be the FA-18C.

That would be me.

See, I suffer from a condition that has plagued video gamers for the past 20+ years... and that condition is called "wrongbuttonitis" (meaning I selected the wrong option at a critical moment).

I hope you understand. My apologizes.
