FreeFall Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 ^^ They are actually EMER FM & AM. They are used to select the Guard Channel automatically. Not for switching the device from AM Radio to FM Radio, or vice versa, as you already noticed. Kickswitch Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Figured it out Well I seem to be able to start them up fine in campaign missions and others it's only a problem with the mfcd's not displaying during a mission editor mission could it be something to do with ground power, either way i sort of figured it out
311Gryphon Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) Had a look around the forum couldn't find the answer to this question. Question is - Why won't my MFCD's display any information when I am starting up the plane, I tried increasing brightness and toggling day/night switch but no luck Thanks in advance I'm taking a shot in the dark here but I had some questions about this early on. A few things have to be done before they can show any information, and the steps I take on startup may not all be necessary to get the MFCDs on but they are what I do. Once I have some form of power (Battery on, Inverter on, APU Generator on, APU on). Then I flip the top two switches on the Auxiliary Avionics Panel up then rotate the Steer Point dial on the same panel to "Flight Plan" (this is the step that may not be necessary but I do it first anyway, it needs to be done). I then flip the CICU on the lower, left dash up. Finally, I turn the MFCDs on by clicking the dial at the bottom left of each screen. Sometimes I have to wait a few seconds before the MFCD comes up, then you get the "DTS Load All" message and can proceed. If you are seeing anything on the screen but can't see any actual information, then I'm not so sure. I usually have to wait a few seconds for the blue screen to change, then a few seconds before I can click the "DTS Load All" and then the screen won't switch to the CDU Repeater for a bit for some reason but will eventually change. Once the navigation loads I can change to whatever screen I want. That's about all we can guess at. If there is some other problem it is a harder fix. BiBa Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Training Videos installation problem I acquired the Ka-50 Black Shark 2 and installed it successfully in the standard path with registry and is running well, but every time I try to install one of the five training Videos, there is an error report: "Black Shark 2 not found, installation interrupted". There is here no option to look for the right path, as it closes up automatically. Need a solution. Many thanks in advance BiBa...............BigBang WIN 10-64 Pro. par2005 Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Question which I don't think is worth creating a new topic: How do get out of force correlate mode in Maverick? I know how to get into force-correlate mode, but then if I decide my maverick to try locking on high-contrast objects again, I can't make it work back to Centroid mode?
shagrat Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 According to the HOTAS description the same steps with boat switch again. You may try TMS down short for ground stabilize, but that's just a guess. jmainjet Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Blood and gore I'm a grown up. No need to protect my eyes. I'll be blind in a decade or so. How about some better graphic scenes with the explosions and bullets penetrating the vehicles and persons. Kinda like the old Bonnie and Clyde movie scene when the cops fire on them while they try to escape! Can I purchase a mod? Is there a free Mos out there? Lets eliminate this protection on my computer. What do you say?:smilewink:
GGTharos Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I say you're in the wrong forum, talking about the wrong game ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

IonicRipper Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 In the mission planner, you can change the UHF frequency before you take off. Is it possible to change the VHF frequencies as well? i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Yurgon Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 If I remember correctly... DSMS, SJET (selective jettison), select the tanks and drop with weapon release. That should do the trick, I believe. But the subject at hand is rather theoretical in nature. AFAIK, external tanks are only used for long distance ferry flights and are never carried in combat. That means that if a pilot finds himself in a situation where he's in urgent need of dropping the tanks, jettison all would be the preferred way. :) In the upcoming F/A-18C and other fighters, things may be different, though.

Nealius Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Random Q: Is jetwash not modeled? A couple of days ago I flew right in a KC-135's jetwash...or what should have been jetwash...and nothing happened....

Nealius Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 That's disappointing. I was expecting more turbulence from flying through clouds too but that didn't work either...

IonicRipper Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Quick Q: When JTAC doesn't call out target, is it simply because it doesn't have any in sight? I just spent about 30 minutes over a battlefield and kept calling JTAC for targets but never got one... Oh and if anyone knows... I never got an answer for my previous question: In the mission planner, you can change the UHF frequency before you take off. shagrat Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 In the mission planner, you can change the UHF frequency before you take off. Is it possible to change the VHF frequencies as well? not like the UHF frequency, you may try "prepare mission", but that comes along with a sh..load of other potential problems... so before doing that, take care to know what it does! You can easily prepare a lot of things quite badly if switching and changing things.:smartass: Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)
