Little details that you've noticed?

has anyone noticed the drivers of the land vehicles? After crashing the camera positioned over the jeep/humvee and the driver was turning the wheel and bouncing around. The truck driver behind him was doing the same.

Here's one i expected (and would be cool) to happen but it didn't. I like to taxi with the canopy open. Just out of curiosity i took off with the open canopy. Nothing happened! At 300 knots it would still work and closing perfectly :dontgetit:

Probably because its a beta. Its on FC2 so I'm assuming it will be put in.

Good to hear!!! I remember reading in Smallwood's book that during the Gulf war, the Hog pilots had problems with ordinance getting stuck quite often. Nice touch if they've modeled these probabilities.

A bomb (don't remember what type) got stuck on the pylon when I tried to release it resulting in a nice red error message on the MFCD :)

Hmmmm, there are so many very cool things, and some have been posted, but one thing I noticed that I thought was very cool was the targeting pod head moving in sync with inputs. Very cool detail. :)

edit:

Also, the pilot ejection animations....I've seen it a lot...hahaha

I'm loving the new models.

F-15E, You can see the metal discoloration or color change around the JFS exhaust.

The SA-3 models is great

etc.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

When slewing the TGP pod, from the pit, look over your shoulder at the right wing, and you will see the camera on the nose of the pod moving!! :clap_2:

Night lighting is extraordinary, flood light won´t reach the front dashes... unless you close the canopy... due to lamps position...

I've almost smashed into a mountain a couple times because i had the TGP locked onto something and i was watching the pod camera track around while maneuvering the aircraft :megalol:

The most amazing one that struck me is the plain old sun. When you start to break through the clouds and its peeking through then bam....It's probably the most realistic sun I've seen modeled in any game so far. Also liking the effects of the bullets striking the ground very nice indeed.

Noticed the object being viewed through TGP shift ever so slightly when you switch between CCD and FLIR; TGP switching cameras changes the viewpoint a little.

You sir have the eyes of a falcon! :P

If you shut off oxygen supply at high altitude, your virtual pilot experiences hypoxia. For me, such small details make any sim better!

Now that's something I HAVE to try out! :smilewink:

I personally love the feeling you get when on the ground taxi/take off/landing.

The bumpy taxi ways, tires squealing, inertia off payload, the thud when you land hard, the best i've seen in a sim.. And finally we can perform emergency landings on grass and survive.. :D

At which height/weather did you experience this and what was the result? I tried yesterday, but somehow nothing special happened. Height was about 36000ft.

39,130ft, the result can be seen here. http://img59.imageshack.us/f/dcshighaltitude.jpg/

But according to the manual anything above 13,000ft is enough. "Note: It will be important that you mind your oxygen supply. If it runs out and you are above 13,000 feet, you will suffer the effects of hypoxia and lose consciousness."
