I don't wish to show my age here, but my very first Flight Sim I believe it was Microprose Gunship on the ZX Spectrum, the game loaded via a tape deck, which usually took 25 minutes to load. Ground breaking for the 1980's but the down side was, if you got shot down or you crashed, you had to reload the whole game again, taking 25 minutes!!!

ACE on C64 from 1986. It supported 2 joysticks, so me and my best friend would play co-op; I flew while he shot down the bandits.

unless you count a flight sim on the ZX...

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I guess I need to revise my first sim. My first sim on the PC was DID's TFX released in 1991, but I did not buy it until 1993, before that

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Flight Simulator by Psion for my ZX81. I had a RAM pack which boosted the computer from 1K of memory to a whopping 16K ! Was the first game that I bought, must have been in 1982, I loved it.

Milli
