1.2.9 will include only a few fixes and Sabre.

Initially 1.2.9 not planned, but due to the incompleteness of the new renderer in 1.3.0 Sabre decided to release the old render, ie under 1.2.9.

the only problem really with this additional delay is that the hype may completely throw off reasonable expectations of what the finished product is capable of lol

How did you get a date/time frame from that post? All it says it that EDGE (the renderer) is incomplete.

I think all you can read into this is that the Sabre came together quicker than EDGE, so why make everyone wait on the Sabre... no need to start getting all down on ED.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it just sounds like to me they were not quite able to resolve everything needed to make the release with the timed release of the Sabre which is maybe only 2 - 3 weeks away.

 

Now F-86F module ready for 98% of the planned level for the beta version. Taking into account other influencing factors on the terms of readiness, release of the game will be around July 15-25.

It would still be the same Georgia Map, just with better Shaders and Effects. (Albeit, a Completely new visual experience from what I've seen in Videos/Screenshots).

 

 

Regardless,

if 1.2.9 brings me the F-86, cool beans, I can happily wait a few months for 1.3.0 and EDGE, whether or not that comes with the Dora in August or if it's further back.

 

Gives me some extra time to Secure another 7970 Lightning for 3x CrossFire and 6144 Shaders :p

Nobody ever said Nevada come with EDGE. It needs EDGE because of the new features... can we just relax and let all the new Modules and maps happen?

F-86 in 2-3 weeks maybe. Dora less than a month away and I have a feeling Mig-21Bis will be lurking nearby also. Yes I think we will have plenty to enjoy until EDGE and maps to follow.

Yeah I think we will eventually see a "Famine to Feast" situation in the near future. How far out that future might be I have no idea, but there are a LOT of items in progress right now and if ED could just get a tiny piece of luck to go their way things would turn around for the better!

 

Just seems lately like they can't BUY a piece of good luck..
