Ralph2 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 It is ED approved and the installer is currently being built, so quality isn't an issue and it will be here in no time. These guys are the pro's/owners/Gods of our community, they know we want bling and will deliver (they do it for a living, they have oft stated they want to but cannot). Wait a week and I'm sure there will be lots of bling and a perfectly understandable reason provided for why they had to be so quiet (I thought the one already given was enough), and maybe even the unforeseen cause (not that it is really any of our business).
jimcarrel Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Huey will be nice! But a C O B R A!! I saw one of those fly over about 3 years ago, looked to be original faded army blueish-gray, almost fell to the ground I was so amazed. Win 10 64 bit Intel I-7 7700K 32GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gig
Griffin Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Wow great to hear! I'm not exactly sure which one I would like more. If the Cobra will be Vietnam standard, I would propably enjoy the Huey more with the sling loads and pilot SAR missions in multiplayer with the gunners and everything. Let's see how this evolves. Might buy both! Thanks for your increased activity and great news PilotMi8!

leafer Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Where was it announced that Belsimtek is producing the Cobra? Or is this the case of putting two and two together? ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Phantom88 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 AH-1 cobra was announced recently in a podcast, by wags, if i remember well. Could it be possible that Belsimtek will be handling that baby thanks to their licence ? this is the case and will be. Patrick
Python Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I prefer things with wings so I'm not sold on the Huey yet, but even I'll pick up a cobra!! maybe I should give black shark 2 another try to prepare! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Griffin Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Oh my god that would be fantastic! If the Cobra would be Vietnam era, I'd rather fly the Kiowa with a mast mounted sight! Gives a whole new dimension to sneaking. Kiowa + Huey would be an awesome team to aid the A-10C. Kiowa spots for the Hawg and shoots a Hellfire if necessary and the Huey rescues downed Hawg pilots.
-MadCat- Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Tears of joy for me, if they'd really do the OH-58D to DCS standards. I'm happy enough they do the Huey, but the Kiowa with the mast mounted sight, now that would be such a great addition to the Air-to-Ground battlefield. Pressing thumbs. Python Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I meant heli's in general, surely I'd be better equipped going from the shark to the Cobra rather than the A-10c to the cobra. My point was I brought BS2 and gave up on it before learning much so I'd better give it another go. Being better off with one or the other doesn't really matter, the Cobra is more exciting to me so I'm in. It will do until DCS: AH64 comes along ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

chaos Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Only need F-4, Mig-17, SAM and AAA and DCS: Vietnam has complete (except a good Theater) ... Skyhawk and Skyraider too! No complicated systems, as opposed to the F4, and single engine and single pilot too. A no-brainer! Heck, one could even include a simple O-1 Birddog to mark the targets... Hmmm... RagnarDa Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 What is exactly the reason for continuing developing the Cobra instead of the Apache? I understand that its good with common parts between the Huey and Cobra, and the smaller size, but other than that the Apache seems to be a much more capable platform, even for shipboard operations?
