Thanks for the updated link. as for the chickenhawk book its not quite what i had in mine when starting this post. I started it to help get technical information on the helicopter on how it works, starts up. flys and operating limits.

Many stories from Navy Seawolves in Vietnam. This particular story has 15 parts so there's enough text for a book! I've read the Chickenhawk (very recommended) and Low Level Hell and this is at least comparable. Very entertaining. If you are not patient, you can start directly from this action packed part:

Thanks to Sundowner for these!

A book about Seawolves in the Mekong delta. If this is anything like the stories in the above link, I'm buying this! That stuff was just as good as Chickenhawk.

Chickenhawk. A must read for every Huey pilot (and definately every other helicopter pilot)!

Low Level Hell! My favorite book of all time! That's why I vote for a OH-6/MD-500 module (realistically, an OH-58 to be relevant on the modern battlefield).

Found it on amazon.de for under 10 Euros as a used book. It will took a while shipping from US. Thanks for recommend it. Already read all other books mentioned here and I´m curious how this will be.

Gentlemen I do not know if you have heard about this book.

I do own a lot of books about helicopter operations in Vietnam and along Chickenhawk, this one is my very favourite.

Real good. I highly recommend it.

Found this one on Amazon as well (Amazon UK). 4 pounds + about 4 pounds shipping for good quality used book. When I read about it here I immediately bought it (because I really enjoyed Chickenhawk as well). Now waiting for it to arrive :)

Here's another great book on Hueys in Vietnam. I read Chickenhawk back in the 80's, which was a great book. This book is just as good...

I wasn't there (graduated high school in '74), but that still moves me.

Thanks for sharing that.
