No but we did get the announcement about a new 3d model and a 6dof cockpit for the su27 didn't we?

I don't think you got my point. I am saying that an avatar doesn't announce the next module.

And what about the F-15C... it'd be easy for them to make a module considering what they have already made in FC3...

Having the F-15C in FC3 does not do much at all towards making it easier to make the DCS F-15C.

3D models and pit model is only a very small part of what it takes to make a DCS module.

I just watched the new video (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=100357) and noticed the aircraft shadow on the ground at 9:30 minutes.

Could be one of the FC3 planes, though, as well...

you realize there's already an F-18C External Model in the Game right? and that you can watch a replay of the AI and position the the F4 camera above the plane or the ALT-F2 camera to get that shot.:joystick:

;1658307']I'm looking forward to the long missions!

When DCS F-18 comes out I'll build a MP mission with the US Carrier based just north of the Bosphorus Straight so all sorties to the mainland have to involve refueling etc.

Shoot off the CAT

Grab some gas

Shoot some fools

Run some SEAD / DEAD

Bomb a bridge

Shoot some more fools

Grab some gas

Trap

*Sigh* can't wait :D

not enough Pitstops.

yeah, realistically, the F-15C is the best bet as the new module. New pit, new model, the animations for switches, etc. are already done. Meanwhile the hornet has a new 3d model, parts of which are still wrong AFAIK. By this logic the next module could just as well be an AH-64D.

If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.

As it was stated, the currently used 3d model of anything doesn't mean how close is the release of whatever aircraft... :music_whistling:

Now, without any official anouncement, we are left alone only with our dreams and hopes. ED is playing poker with us :( Wags is surely having really funny time reading this conspiracy theories during his coffee break ...and so am I

As much as I love the F-15c and await the imminent module, The F-18 is just more interesting and in a sim like DCS it allows more options for fun... this stuff is still about having fun right? ;) To be honest I'd like a tornado but that isn't going to happen so the F-18 will do me just fine. And as a bonus... it can land on a boat! surely the ultimate challenge and I'm not sure any sim with a truly accurate AFM has ever allowed this before... or even existed? I'd like an F-16 equally mind and I'm sure there will be an module eventually.

Anyway, much love for the hornet here and this is why...

Can't wait :)

While I appreciate nothing's official yet,

I have to say the thought of Naval ops in DCS for me is exciting, sure I can blow stuff up and shoot bad guys with any aircraft, But I havnt flown a good naval sim in god knows when, think it might have been Fleet Defender by Microprose all those years ago.

I just want to do my carrier ops, couldn't care less what aircraft I do it in, F14 I know is coming, F18 would be nice as well.

Although ill be flying my helos most of the time over land though. :)

...but licking the sea level with Akula's belly to fly beneath the US vessel's radar and send two Kh-25 to their entertainment is also fun. And imagine those fireworks of theirs anti-missile-gun systems...

Sure you could, but it would be far easier to get the correct video shot if you flew the plane yourself - which I would assume he did in the video.

If ED is indeed making the Hornet, it sure as hell isn't being "flown" by anyone. It'll be nothing more than lines of code on a devs monitor at this point.

It short, your assumption is incorrect.

Well, that's an assumption too, Eddie. :P You're assuming they haven't gotten far enough to be "flying" it yet in-game.

But then again, assumptions are pretty much all we have at the moment anyway. :D

Please be the multirole C Hornet with CV ops.

Not the F15C: all you do in an Eagle is bore holes in the sky waiting for someone to try something.

Not the F16C: it has already been done (and cannot be surpassed) in fine fashion by BMS.

At the moment the most realistic carrierops is done on FSX using vLSO and some other mods. With vLSO you have an LSO guiding you in and after you land the landing is graded against the real life carrier landing standards and it is then logged in vLSO. As for AFM the VRS Superhornet IMO is the best FM for a Superhornet and guys who have practiced with that in FSX have managed to land real SH simulators on carriers day and night with real LSOs.

BTW one of the 3rd party devs is doing a Tornado for DCS.

With DCS World why not all of the above F-15s, F/A-18s and F-16s would make it even more fun.(BTW F-16 could probably be surpased by ED for DCS if they implemented systems not modelled in BMS.)

Yeah I keep meaning to buy the superbug, thing is, despite all the payware addons I built up over the years, I haven't touched FSX since I got into DCS world properly so I would be wasting my money. I do keep meaning to get back into it. I'm hoping ED will better the experience though. Great news on the Tonka too, cheers.

Last I heard was that it was only single player, if that's true, then it's a no go for me.

Ditto: flying offline is like having sex with yourself...doable but not preferred.
