Thanks again for the update EB, and don't worry mate, nobody feels like you're messing with us. You have been upfront and truthful with us from the start, and that's all we can ask for.

 

I think everyone of us have been simmers long enough to realise that sometimes things slip, that's just life. All we ask is you keep us informed mate.

 

Look on the bright side though, at least you guys know, your efforts won't be for nothing, I've a feeling you may sell a module or two if this forum is anything to go by. :)

The fact EB and PilotMI8 is sharing this info is more than appreciated, I know I love the amount of updates good or bad we are getting from this team. I can't see any posts from people getting wound up, or stating we have been lied to, or that the world is going to end just because the Huey is very very slightly delayed from what we hoped would happen.

 

NOONE is angry, NOONE is saying we shouldn't get info. In fact I think you will find we are more than happy with the info given. Yes there was a slight issue at first when the legal side was happening, but damn EB and PilotMI8 have more than made up for that with the fantastic amount of info and videos that they have given us in the last week.

 

Although I am late and missed most of the "party" I share this same thought. This project hit a road block that questioned whether we would see it at all a couple of months ago. Now we are very close to a release, therefore I can wait. I may bitch and whine from time to time, but I am DCS fan. I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE! When it's released the funds will transfer to compensate and keep Belsimtek, DCS and our beloved genre going! :thumbup:

So, moving on, what's the first thing you guys will do when you get your hands on the module? Straight to free flight? Straight to a mission? First a tutorial?

 

I think I will just do a cheat startup and try to hover/get away from the airfield and crash and burn completely probably before skids get off the ground..

That's about what I have in mind except I plan on hitting pause as soon as the skids are off of the ground so I can take a screen shot. That way I have at least on pic of me 'flying' a Huey. :D

Tutorial, free flight, then missions, but i don't expect to be getting to the missions too soon (taking a few breaks to mow down insurgents with the door guns and flex miniguns of course).

I think Ill practice as real is it gets, due to the fact that I work and already flew with the Huey myself I will just stick to what we do at work ;)

Tutorial missions then straight for a shipborne landing then take-off, after that, as with Rammit, hit play on Wagners, ride of the valkyries

I'll try to start the thing without reading the startup procedures chapters of the manual first. It's always fun to "guess" what all the shiny buttons do :D

I'll try to start the thing without reading the startup procedures chapters of the manual first. It's always fun to "guess" what all the shiny buttons do :D

 

I did that with A-10C when on a first flight starting out in the air. I couldn't resist buttons that had "Pull" written on them, first thing I did. I mean, why put "Pull" on it if I'm not supposed to pull it?:smilewink:

Cold and dark startup, hover practice, followed by autorotation practice and then low level nav across the map, in formation with my 2 wingmen before a practise combat assault all the time with my tour of duty soundtrack on high, plugged into my headphones and if I'm still alive after that, practising pin point single skid landings up on the ridges in the Hills.

 

Fun is not the word, it's gonna be bloody amazing.

when i get it, first thing i will do is getting pretty sick, calling my boss that i'm to sick to work for the next 2 weeks,...

 

after 2 weeks of flying going back to work with red eyes because off flying to long every day :D

 

then my boss will see me and send me home again to rest some more, once at home i will be flying again,...:pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:

Step 1. Flip some likely looking switches that caught attention during my brief perusal of the manual.

Step 2. I saw the Hovering video so I should have no problem doing that.

Step 3. Die in a intricate dance of rotor, fuselage, ground, and flames.

Step 4. Find the tutorials.
