Sn8ke
Today at 6am PDT, Nvidia released the 780 GTX video card. It cost $650 retail and packs the same GPU as the Titan with 20% performance. It forms approx 35% faster than a 680. Well this is according from reputable sources I've read. Newegg is almost sold out, I just purchased one from micro center and am picking it up, ill let you guys know how it performs. Guess this topic will be moved somewhere else sooner or later, just to fill in, this is rather false. Your eye can very easily see the difference between, let's say 30 fps and 60 fps. Once you go higher than this, though, it won't make much difference. And again, your monitor has to support such high framerates as well.. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page

That some of us have 60 Hz displays does mean that you won't gain much as long as it is synched but that's another thing altogether. The difference between 60 and 120 fps is rather huge too you know. ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted May 23, 2013 ED Team Share Posted May 23, 2013 As is GA, sorry but there is no limit on FPS that the eye will or will not see. I think you missunderstood me, what I ment was that, one can easily see the difference between 30 and 60 fps, but you'd had a tough time to tell the difference between 150 fps and, say, 200 fps. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page

SkateZilla
Considering that the human eye can't perceive anything above 20FPS and that DCS World maxed out only has so much to offer.....does it really matter for this sim? :noexpression: Umm,, Yeah, like others have said this is False. I can see the difference between 15 Progressive, 24 Progressive, 29.976 Interlaced, 30 Progressive, 60 Interlaced and 60 Progressive. The average "Assumed" max is around 70-80 FPS. Anything above that only really effects after image and ghosting. You really thing 120Hz, 240hz, 480hz HDTVs are made for you to see them at 480 FPS? They are made with those refresh rates to reduce the pixel latency of the panel. Game on a 7ms LCD Panel at 60 FPS, then game on a 2MS LCD Panel at 60 and you'll see the difference. Lighting also affects after image, which can make the illusion of smoother motion. in a dark room, the after image in the eye lasts longer and creates a fad transition between frames and makes motion look smoother, which is why the NTSC Standard for Film is 24 FPS, and why that's Telecined up to the 29.976 NTSC Broadcast standard on DVDs, and why DVD Players eventually developed Inverse Telecine to bring the Movie Back down to 24 Fps. But I've been looking at Video Streams since 1995, recorded from multiple sources (OTA, Cable, DVD, VHS, HD-TS, etc etc) Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
