Well in case anyone isn't following the DCS WWii threads, a snippet on new maps.

2 you missed:

Those are examples of terrain based on EDGE technology that will also be used for the Normandy map. However, those two images are from an unannounced map that is in development.

May the guessing games begin!

Uhm...

Btw is 1.2.6 now "open beta" ?

And can we expect more bugfixes (especially for gamebrakers) then we had for 1.2.5?

Open beta has been delayed, this is a standard release, as always you can expect ED to continue to address bugs as they go, how they will address is up to them.

Given that was posted 4 minutes after Wags' original post, I hadn't had chance to scour my atlas for a likely location.... ;)

Aware of that. I guess I should have asked should we expect news the first Friday of every month if not the 1st of the month.

I expect Matt to be bright eyed and bushy tailed and eager to make our day with news at the crack of dawn. Hmmm I guess there is no news today then... ;)

Can you or ED give an explanation as to why this decision has been made when there is evidence to the contrary? Or is ED just trying to piss off the Russian drivers?

Yeah, please please ED turn it back to automatically . Even the name of the mode says ist how to use ist best: "AUTO acquisition mode"

Thanks DarkEagle. I think this is a similar situation to the TWS autolock. Both can be set to do this manually or automatically. There are situations when In TWS and VS when one is preferable to the other, but until that man/auto switch is modelled we should have it set at its most useful setting. TWS manual and VS auto.

Thats the exact point, please ED, follow this thoughts, to bless us with a much better handling.
