ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 3, 2013 Author ED Team Share Posted October 3, 2013 I'm surprised you didn't mention the bias towards Intel ... didnt want to whine about that, my fx8350 works just fine with DCS World  I am hoping for improvement with frame rates once EDGE is released so I will be patient :) Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Dejjvid
Anyone sorted the CTD on MP join yet? We had 1/20 that couldn't join yesterday. He did a repair without success. Is it possible to wipe your saved games folder and reload your bindings from a backup? My gut feeling is that the issues is related to some old junk in there.. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]

sobek
Is it possible to wipe your saved games folder and reload your bindings from a backup? Rename the folder. If the crash happens at join, you don't need custom keybinds anyway. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives! Some people have had success in giving DCS a higher priority in Task Manager, They also lowered the priority settings on other apps they didn't care for as much. Derbysieger
Tested by a team mate tonight, result: Not fixed. To specify, aerial refueling was a little bit broken before the patch, now it's completely broken. When you connect to a tanker it will immediatly disconnect you with the message "Transfer complete. Disconnect.". Regardless of how much fuel you actually have in the tank. Tengah
I am getting the same AAR bug (Connected, transfer complete) too, in single and multiplayer missions. It was working fine pre-patch but a little funky but as above it's completely broken now. Tested at various fuel states, no joy. ED pls fix :(

Dejjvid
We had a 21 player session with update 1. When we lined up 20 A-10C on the runway we had about 200kb/s to every client (including TS3). A few users started to warp. It's obvious that the warp issues are related to the clients frame rate. And if one user have low FPS they will cause instability. We also had a 3 hour mission with 18 aircrafts, Mi-8, A-10C, Uh-1H and Ka-50s. We had a few clients dropping out due to DCS crashes, the stability is much better now, but not good enough. Imo, the server should allow longer timeouts prior to closing the session and if a client have high packet loss it should be quarantined, and "frozen" until it's stable again. This will resolve many disconnect issues and warping incidents. i7 8700K | GTX 1080 Ti | 32GB RAM | 500GB M.2 SSD | TIR5 w/ Trackclip Pro | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Pro Flight Rudder [sigpic]http://www.132virtualwing.org[/sigpic]
Lolsmurf
Bugs I encountered: 1. Plane wheels do not touch the runway, they hover about 25 cm above it. 2. Vegetation on hills the same, trees almost are airborne! 3. A-10A Target Designator did not respond anymore after a while. And an idea for your project WWII 1944, for $ 250,00 or more your name on an airplane as driver? Good luck and it's still an awesome game!
