Many a "two weeks" has passed since the last news. I don't mean to seem impatient, but it's hard to wait for such a beauty.

Well, see, "two weeks" is sort of elastic.

It is traditional that "two weeks" is this long

"........"

but sometimes this long

"......................."

and can even be this long

"..................................................."

It's just that we know it isn't.... but it could be... but we know it probably won't be.... but it might be......

I'm hope I cleared that up.

I blame <cough> Oleg <cough> for "two weeks", whoever he is.

Yeah, it would be glorious! :)

Come on mates, if I have to explain that you make me look like my grandpa  .

"Oleg" obviously means Oleg Maddox, head creator of the old Il-2 series, back from 2001. We all have played Il-2 all these years awaiting for a real hardcore simulator like DCS, isn't it? Oleg invented that two weeks meening sort of 'whenever I like' to get rid of people asking all the time for new stuff at banana forums.

New Spit/Normandy Shot....

Thanks for the screen shot.

To be honest I don't like the trees but I've never seen a flight sim that does realistic-looking trees. In any case that's the least of my worries. As with CoD I wonder if it would be better if forests were rendered as single, or a collection of, larger blocks with a collision model or perhaps even built into the terrain mesh.

Negative mate, a few patches ago there was a mistaken leak of the model together with regular release. Still a WIP with no moving prop IIRC and only IA, but I flew a couple dodfights against it and took a few screenshots before she was erased two or three days later in a new patch.
