There's no diff brakes on the Cy-25s AFAIK.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Yeah, it's hard to do differential braking when you have just a single stick handle to perform the braking with. :)

You two are going to Top Gun.

Oops, sorry, wrong plane :)

Lol, that made me chuckle... quite a talent you have to twist that into a top gun reference ;)

A single axis for the brakes would be enough ... the standard brake [w] is just to strong and not adjustable. :(

yeah, i know there is no diff brakes on Su-25, i just wanted to point out the reference of AFM

A-10C (DCS) got diff brakes while A-10A does not got (no DCS)

that would be fine to me too

Slightly OT but related to Wag's comment on the AFM being in Beta - wasn't it from 1.2.6 that open beta testing would be offered? Does anyone know what came of that idea or are they saying that each release is a beta test with our feedback?

I think the hold up was the ability to switch back and forth between beta and release, and there was some technical difficulties there, but no new info has come from that.

No, I wouldn't expect those features.

Plus it's not DCS F-15C it's F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs. Big difference in fidelity.

I see...Thanks a lot for the information!

Although it looks more like an Advanced Drive Model..., i can't wait to see how it behaves in mid air, how it responds to inputs and reacts in a taildive!

AFM, we've been all waiting for you since the beginning of Lock on series. Now is the time!

A very good job Wags. Thank you!

LOL

after integrating AFM, a10a, su25 taxi becomes much harder :D

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

repeatedly tap the button?

Differential braking: break more on left than on right. (Or opposite.)

It's not a button, it's a lever, allowing control over the braking force, but said braking force is evenly distributed over all gear.

Compare to toebrakes, where the braking force on each side is controlled independently.

Landings were displayed since it has been one of the most common (and justified) complaints about the SFM.

Where is Su27 AFM?

If both will not be released at the same time, dogfight between 27 and 15 sucks...

Why?

You seem to be under the misapprehension that AFM is somehow more correct in combat performance. This is not necessarily the case; SFM in FC3 conforms very very closely to the available documentation for these aircraft. You should not expect an "AFM" aircraft to have an automatic advantage nor disadvantage in BFM. What AFMs bring to the table is different.
