  2. Limiting FPS within DCS Settings is good but I have to set it above my HMD refresh rate which It is set now at 90hz. I limit FPS to 95 in DCS because I found out that sometimes, FPS count goes to 91 very briefly and this is causing stutters when the FPS limiter is at 90. Not sure what is happening but setting the limiter above 90 cured the stutters.
  3. Just finished all 3 campaigns over an extended period of time. Really enjoyed them and I am definitly more comfortable flying the A10C II now. Thanks for keeping the campaigns up to date after nearly 10 years and responding to bug feedback. Really appreciated that. Thanks
  4. I ONLY have sharpness set in Pimax Play. I turned it to 0 in DCS and in mbucchia's QV. Seems to work great that way.
  5. I'd use instruments - sometimes the lyrics do go with the texture
  6. My appologies. It was a honest mistake.
  7. I'm in the camp of "there is a problem with speed and engine management." I am NOT a real pilot, but I just find it hard to believe that the 2800 Wasp was as delicate and prone to catastrophic damage when running over recommended limits found in the manuals for each version. On CV takeoffs, if I push the throttle full forward (max), the engine begins metal banging sound before I clear the island, with my wheels not even off the deck!. less than a min later, even with reduced manifold pressure (~40 in) and reduced pitch (2500 RPM), the engine seizes and I'm in the water. I doubt the navy would accept any engine that cannot stand some abuse, especially one that must engage in combat where one will eventually have to overstress the engine for short periods to survive. Manufacturers/engineers always put in hefty margins on recommended settings to ensure their product runs well for extended periods, knowing that their product can really do more, safely. Just look at CPU and GPUs for example. OC'ing is routine and even done by the manufacturer if requested in some cases. Built in safety margin. But I digress. One last point. Many here talk IAS vs TAS, and even CAS. Likewise, we talk mph and kts. I would recommend we try to all use IAS and mph in future discussion so that we are all on the same page and avoid confusion. IAS is what your instruments read in the cockpit, so that is easy enough to report without any additional computations. Also, if i read correctly from another source, IAS was what was usually used in actual tests results of the real aircraft. I recommend mph so it is easier for quick comparison to its other Allied aircraft. I understand that one must still convert to kph to compare to Axis aircraft, but at least we won't have three options (i.e. kts). Just my $0.02. (and, that's what it may be worth.) v/r Stel
  8. Another thing to note is when the A/C is flying in the air, without a ramp gunner (in DCS), you can put the smaller ramps/boards down (I don't know what they're called) if you go to the final ramp "down" stage. These flip out to allow for smoother loading of equipment on the ground, but they wouldn't be used in the air. Ever. Just the ramp itself. But in DCS you can flip them all the way down, even in flight.
  9. Yeah - no luck with it in Saved Games but it works for me when I put it into the DCS directory. <DCS>......\Mods\aircraft\MosquitoFBMkVI\Liveries\Cockpit_MosquitoFBMkVI\default\
  10. Eagerly looking forward to this. Flaming Sunrise seems to be vastly under appreciated. Really like the improvements you did compared to Pontus. The planning aspect is great and easily done, and something sorely needed in dcs campaigns. Head and shoulders above the scripted ones. Seems that most dcs players prefer an "instant action, air quake" experience so maybe that explains why Sunrise isn't on the radar as much.
  11. How's work going? A week without a screenshot? How's that possible!?
  12. Currently, ED has been one of the best if not THE best (I don't own all modules) in the sound department in fly-bys. The Viper and the Hornet at the right volume levels are brutal, so I'd say it is in good hands. I hope they do it well.
  13. Ramp position for the rear gunner is planned to be adjusted at some point:

  15. Yes, it will jam any missiles within the cone or area
  16. Hey! the fact that it's going to be Full Fidelity makes it more realist! However, something that's imho a must have in terms of realism and immersion is the sound work behind the simulation. I assume (and I hope!) it'll be hugely different from the FC3, but give us some real eagle sounds just like that: start-up and shutdown or like that the fly-by at that exact time code Give the Light Gray eagle the love it deserves!
  17. Hi there, I have used SDKs in the past with MSFS2020, Xplane12 and P3D and thoroughly enjoyed it. Does DCS allow users to create scenery from scratch ? I would love to create Detmold Airfield in the Germany map as it was my old base when I served in BAOR, would this be possible ? Thanks for any useful information. Karl

  18. Thanks !
  20. Ah ok, makes sense. The CRS knob works when bound to the switch? Is there a difference? Thank you for the response and suggestion, much appreciated.
  21. With the fxo and metashader2 files do I delete all the files in the folder or just the recent dates?
  22. Yes, it just makes RIO more human to provide the hint... PS: Thanks for mention it, updated the subject line with the keyword "Wishlist"...
  23. OK, finally got it. @Bowie was indeed onto something In my previous test I didn't use wind and the carrier did not move - logically, to test just the cat shot speed. It didn't show anything unusual. All cats same speed. But after taking another shot (sic!) with Bowie's settings: carrier speed 18kts into the 15kts wind I was able to confirm the bug on unmodded DCS. @Silhou Please check the tracks. Cat #3 on CV-59 is indeed slower about 10kts in these conditions - it makes fully loaded S-3B tanker or F-14A AI sink just a bit - but they can manage fine. 24. @Calvin.Pimax Tracking seems improved under artificial light conditions. But still in Pimax home all is good, in DCS tracking can have a hard time when looking over my shoulder. Natural light coming in at an angle (window on my left) is giving tracking issue when looking either left or right over my shoulder, in DCS, not in Pimax home. The new sharpness setting was set at .6. Very noticeable, but also reducing overall performance (missing frames). When changing the sharpness, it is immediately applied. The apply button remains disabled, which breaks with the overall behavior of the application. When I enabled Smart Smoothing while in DCS, the headset went black. I did not press Apply yet. I did not notice any difference with smart smoothing (RTX 5090). Seems that everything is on the right track, but outside in tracking is definitely in need of more improvements.
