check procedures TWS with datalink ON - TMS RIGHT does not work
BIGNEWY replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi all, just a few points, raptor probably touched on them in previous comments, but here we go. 1) The colour of a bugged target tracked by the onboard FCR without datalink contribution can be altered by DTC colour settings, and the current FCR chapter in the DCS manual is from an earlier version of the DCS F-16 that was using a different colour (yellow) than what exists now in the game (white). Neither is incorrect, but it represents a pilot-configurable item within the DTC settings. 2) The Air Target Data Table (ATDT) rules that govern the colour and shape of an FCR symbol as Friendly/green, Unknown/white, Suspect/yellow, or Hostile/red should be the same regardless of whether it is detected by the onboard FCR or not. The only bug that is present is that these rules are being applied for targets detected by the onboard FCR but not for offboard datalink tracks. This is intended to be addressed along with the corresponding DTC feature. The FCR chapter is being revised and updated to the current DCS F-16 state, and future DTC settings in development should provide players with the ability to configure symbology colours and select which rules the ATDT uses to affect the target symbol colour and shape. thank you -
Good question. They never added the MB-339 either. @WINWING @WinwingTech any workarounds or suggestions?

great to hear you have a new build, hope it works well for you, if you need any tips and you are on our discord server just message me. thanks

@BIGNEWY Thanks for the help! I've since stopped flying on the server that had the mods and scripts. I felt a few of them were having some very negative effects on users systems. But the powers that be, disagreed. I've got a brand new build with Win11 sitting and waiting for me to complete a new sim pit. It begins this week.

DCS Su-22 by VinntoreZ - Mod Developement Thread

You just keep harassing us. How much longer will you torment us? I can't wait to try this wonder. -
Let’s hope this bird comes with a detailed manual. If all it arrives with is a “quick start” manual, people will be extremely frustrated by what they experience. The frustration will be there no matter what because many will have spent a lot of time in the FC bird and have a lot to unlearn. Not having a good manual to reference is going to add fuel to that frustration fire. In fact, releasing the manual a month or so prior to releasing the aircraft would be the best route to take with any FF module previously released as an FC bird.

DCS World 2025 Screenshots and Video Thread

Part 5 of the Saipan series is out, I've missed a lot of stuff on the ground, we've hit a few things on the ground. We've shot down some bombers, almost lost our carrier. As Marines clear out the jungle, in preparation for the assault on Aslito Airfield the next morning. The Corsairs take off for a late evening ship hunt. Japanese cargo and troop ships are coming up from Guam to reinforce and resupply Saipan. -

5090 vs 4090 in VR - what's the performance improvement?
nilpointer replied to slughead's topic in Virtual Reality
So far it's all been on moderately populated group servers. Examples would so far include, busy carrier with a number of other players also moving to catapults, deck crew on and a few statics, busy Incirlik ramp. I also tried a quick sample set of cold and dark instant actions for the Apache and F-4 on Syria and Sinai. I have not yet done the Nellis ramp and that has been notorious for trouble when populated with the 4090. I will try a few more of these and attempt to grab some sample shots. Note: I don't want to say it "never" went below 90fps as I'm sure that's not true, but certainly the vast majority of the time I had an eye on it there was a 90 there. -

MIG-29 confirmed release date September?
Ironhand replied to The Gryphon's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
The best approach is just to forget any planned release date. Then you feel like a kid on Christmas morning, when it’s suddenly released. -
Maybe a question of costs? You don't need an IRST for every mission, so whether you upgrade all of your planes with an IRST (hight costs, more maintenance) or just some of them, but then you have to be sure that these planes are available when they are needed. With an IRST in a fuel tank you only need a limited amount of this system and it is possible to equip any available plane with it if needed. You only has to upgrade all of them with necessary wiring (much cheaper).

DCS Optimized Textures Powershell Script
Mizuri replied to zbysiek's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
It looks like you're trying to run the script from the wrong location. Make sure to navigate to the "DCS Optimized Textures" folder on your desktop (as mentioned in the instructions), and then run the script from there. If you need more help, feel free to contact me directly. -
There was a chin sensor proposed, but for some weird reason they went with the tank. Military logic didn't logic this time I feel.

I guess you have installed the C-130 mod by Anubis. This mod is outdated and uses an old weapontype declaration for its payload. This causes a conflict with the new weapontype declaration used for the superhornet mod. You have to remove the C-130 mod or you use this fix by SkateZilla:

I've spotted some tarrain bugs while flying on Afghanistan map, so I will share photos/videos of the bugs attaching the coordinates on Lat Long format (let me know if any other format is better for this forum thread) Lat Long: N 34°14'52" E 70°35'10" Lat Long: N 34°12'35" E 70°49'00" Lat Long: N 34°33'19" E 70°36'54" Lat Long: N 34°38'14" E 69°51'14" Digital Combat Simulator Black Shark 2025.07.21 - 13.25.49.03 - Compressed with FlexClip.mp4 Lat Long: N 34°32'10" E 69°15'19" Lat Long: N 34°31'58" E 69°16'33"

Well, technically speaking if all the other forces remain constant increasing weight/inertia in a straight line would mainly slow the aircraft's acceleration. In a turn increasing inertia would slightly increase the turn rate. Decreasing pitch rate would just be a side effect. It would not fix the "twitchiness" of the aircraft which is the effect of low rotational inertia or moment of inertia. In other words I highly doubt they "just" put in a wrong weight number as it would affect a lot of other things: the aircraft would climb faster, accelerate faster, turn faster, top speed would be higher, it would be more affected by the wind etc. PS. I'm fully aware it's not our job to find the cause for this as we don't even have the tools to analyze the flight model at an adequate level, but since the devs so far didn't acknowledge (or deny) that this as a problem all we can do is speculate.

For starters, remove your personal info from those screenshots. Just don't do that, ever. Only share as little as it's required. Next, it's "common" for vendors to request you to destroy the item before you get a replacement. That's their way of ensuring you aren't faking it and just scamming your way to another product for free. As for removing the Paypal request, I'm not sure. Never been in that situation
