Thanks for the advice it is much appreciated I will do a test tuning up VD to Ultra/Godlike. QP £300-400 is currently out of my budget I am afraid. I did some more adjustments after watching this video below, I set my settings in Virtual Dekstop (VD) to: VR Bitrate 150 Mbps Sharpening 30% VR Framerate 90 FPS Frame Rate 90 FPS Desktop Bitrate 90 Mbps DCS Settings locking 90 FPS Syncronos Spacewarp - Always Enabled And in VD Streamer I unchecked -> Adjust Bitrate. I did a playtest on 4YA Casacus PVE Server with 30 players on server, and my FPS was "locked in" 45 FPS stable. When I did my testing with 72 FPS post above, I noticed some framedrops (cities, trees etc), now it runs much smoother. I might try to crank all values above up to 100 to get a stable 50 FPS + set VD to Ultra/High, I do feel its moving in the right direction, very fun stuff to learn about

In addition, if you have Simplified Flight Model turned on in the Options/Gameplay/Difficulties category, trim will not work on some of the warbirds.

The fact that it destroys using real tactics is the real killer here. It's insane. Sims have been handling this just find for over 20 years. Why can't DCS, in development over a decade, NOT handle this? Devs? Crickets? "Too hard" is not an answer unless your devs got Fs in school. This is unacceptable and totally breaks properly playing virtual war. May as well just dogfight. SAMs are also idiots unless you use scripting, YET AGAIN made by users. Users have arguably advanced DCS more than the devs have.

ED has no talk nothing about a WW2 FC, and no into your plans. On fact, I dont like that convert on a WT..... has better continue building FF modules. and more and more teams enter into DCS. On fact has many "size" to expand WW2: Missing teams centred on WTO size and missing war teathers as mediterranean and east front maps (By Ugra media / Orbx / OnReTech on a future), has only matter of time. Missing a real UK 3rd party team to build Commonweal WW2 stuff, as others centred on Germany, Italy, France, etc. Stuff A expansion on WW2 Assets pack as content with the PTO to improve WTO, and more on others teathers (ED show a T-34 on 2025 and Beyond video). Remember, build modules has no a "balance", has a problem about the available info and other stuff to make cool modules.

Current F-16's "A-G radar" scans the whole ground, no matter what is the antenna elevation (it can even point up into sky). Scanning terrain while in high pitch angles is related to this behaviour.

I know making these modules is not easy. No hard feelings on ED. I am just dreaming on some aircraft variety like IL2 offers it with the feeling of flight we get in DCS. In exchange i could live with a little less in depth modeling of systems. Something like WWII Flamig cliffs could be a huge moneymaker IMHO.

I'm interested to know more details about your performance issue. If you're running VR, heavy weather settings and Germany map then I'm not too surprised you're seeing poor performance. If there is an issue caused by my mod I want to fix it.

ED has building the F6F Hellcat and the A6M5 Zero, with plans to make Battle of Britain Aircrafts and the Me262 on a future. The start of WW2 aircrafts coming from ED as a "legend" series initialy by ED P-51D / Fw-190D9, no has a real WW2 scenery. Remember WW2 was planned by RRG Studios 3rs Party as a Standalone product outside DCS W, with totaly irreal aircrafts (Spitfire Mk IX, P-47D, Bf-109K-4, Fw-190A8, Me262), as a Kickstarted with end defunt, and ED recover the proyect and complite many of modules. On fact, ED has continue make "legends" as Mosquito, and now has start to centred on PTO WW2. The other 3rd parties centred on WW2 aircrafts has: Magnitude 3: the actual WW2 F4-U Corsair (has plans to more WW2 modules on a future, surely PTO). Octopus-G: I-16 type 24, and on production La-7 and the future Po-2, centred on Soviet East Front modules. No more 3rd partes has claimed WW2 modules yet. And actualy, only ED has intent centred on "historical accuracy" with Marianas WW2 1944, and expected move to BoB 1941 on a future. Build acurated modules has a complex work, and no, that not easy. If someone like make some more content, recomend build a 3rd party team centred only on WW2.

Yes, Everyone i know would buy whatever they would bring in regards to variants. Heck i would even pay 50 bucks for some variants of one of the available airplanes.

Ah, this ol chestnut. I’m still a bit surprised at us getting the Corsair so won’t complain too much. I do love my propellers , we need more though. Flyable He111s, Me110s, Ju88s anyone? Hopefully we’ll see the Lancaster take to our skies someday, be good if ED dropped us I dunno, a nice little B25 to be getting on with? As Rudel pointed out, these things take a loooooooooong time. If they’re started at all. Take my money for all of em. The 262 would be a perfect compromise too, early jets don’t come a lot earlier .

Hi again Bandit After some flights, I think that the shader cache issue, even with 1.8.1 is not totally solved. I have severe freezes with some weather configurations, on heavy maps like Germany. I even thought to switch back to 1.7 but unfortunatly for me, I've erased it.

I've had it work, I've had it not work, but in general it works. Or at least it did; mostly I do carrier ops in an F-16 lately and the taxi director gets pretty huffy waiting for me to fold my wings so I run over him to park. I seem to recall finding some magic sauce on requesting takeoff but now I can't remember what that was, and they've changed a few things since then.

Yes, developing simulated aircraft on DCS is a labor intensive job, which can take well over a year even for a "simple" variant. The only way such a development would be worthwhile is if there are enough DCS users willing to purchase it. As we already have two variants of the Fw-190 my guess is that not many people would purchase a third, I certainly wouldn't as I'd rather have a completely new aircraft. My guess is that an earlier 109, like the 109E, would sell well only if it was acompanied by a similar spitfire variant, say a Mk II, or even a Hawker Hurricane of the period. For my taste I would purchase a Spanish Civil War Bf-109B in an instant, and pair it against the I-16 (even tough the DCS variant is a much later one). In my opinion, a WW2 best seller would be the Me-262 as it would appeal to both WW2 buffs and early jets lovers. Well, for one not every user is fixated on reliving history just as it happened, on my case I love to do missions that stray away from history a bit, for example having chilean P-47 doghfight against F4U from Argentine for example The best way to convince ED that there is in fact a market for WW2 is to BUY .. that's why I have purchased every WW2 Module so far (and every map), and I'm enjoying the Corsair a lot, in spite of its expected early toothing bugs. And that's why I will purchase the La-7 as soon as it hits the store. Eduardo

@2Tone - the last image is problems with VR. it may be caused by another application that is getting the forefront. also it could be SteamVR affecting OpenXR. another thing it could be is to set DCS to full screen. currently you have it set false. find options.lua in saved games and make a copy of it. then open the original, make the change to the following line. ['fullScreen'] = false; to ['fullScreen'] = true; then retry. edit. look in the folder c:/users/tony/saved games/dcs.openbeta/config

While you’re not going to get anything close to the image you posted ( which is a time exposure, BTW) have you tried this mod? It makes quite a difference. I’ve tweaked it further to make flying at night even more to my liking. It’s fun to play around with and makes the constellations much more noticeable.

Внутри профессии крайне не приветствуется на рабочем борту чего то там клацать почем зря. Каков их возраст и состояние летной годности нипанятна. Я вообще не против сильной облезлости, мне она просто меньше нравится. А курицу пусть скушает Арнольд и хорош уже
