  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry for still asking stupid questions . I sometimes get confused when there are announcements of updates which I assumed to already own. I will look for the PTO release.
  3. Thanks guys, will use the info provided and try to get this pig on the deck this weekend! Some good stuff provided here.
  4. Given the state of ATC lately in the USA?
  5. Correct. Changed to Little bird example.
  6. Whoa! Forum is already updated!
  7. Hi all, that's the rub... And yes, virgo 47, it happen with also with any other planes. Although in the case of other planes "DCS" just zooms out the default view but does not touch the other saved snap views. Much worse with the Corsair, there "DCS" not "just" zooms out the default view, but it also messes up ALL the other saved snap views! And yes, it happens also on other maps with the same planes, but far less than in the Marianas maps, both modern and WWII. See screenshots with written on explanations. I also include the Missions. Corsair-Complete-02.miz MIG-19-Complete-Marianas.miz
  8. I do know git and (not needed to compile efm) bash ... and few other thingys. But there are no commits which were not released with v2.1.0 except "README instruction fix" commit. All other commits are from June 6 and before. Release v2.1.0 was posted on github also on June 6 including "EFM Hotfixes (#11)" commit. So there is nothing to test and you should be able to jump into plane without issues if you compiled EFM part correctly (with cmake and later msbuild or visual studio) and copied output dll to bin folder. On another note, bhoop is working on fully standalone version (no jumping into f-15 first or editing entry.lua file anymore) according to his discord. Can't wait when it will be released!
  9. Did someone sell you a bridge? Both of the Marianas maps are free. The PTO asset pack is a paid module, not an update. If you own the WWII asset pack you get a 30% discount when the PTO asset pack is available for purchase. It's not yet. Or am I completely missing your question as my reading skills have taken a break today? Cheers!
  10. For a new build, I’d go for 64GB at a minimum. 96 or 128 if you want to be safe for the next 5-10 years. And yes, a 9800X3D is significantly better than a 7800X3D. But it depends on availability/price in your region.
  11. Previous thread on wearing helmets in C-130s: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/377124-herk-pilots-dont-wear-helmets/#comment-5677838 Short answer: it depends, but more likely to be seen in a combat situation.
  12. Correct I'll need to test again and see if it's actually desynch.
  13. After reinstalling the campaign, everything seems to work OK .
  14. Combat vs peacetime?.
  15. Glitch, ground checks work perfectly here.
  16. Kiowa, Iowa, potato, tomato. I can't read! Thank you!
  17. Just to confirm: if I already purchased WWII marianas map I shall see this update with next DCS automatically, right?
  18. We have election this year, (September), and this fu**ing idiot, (from my bloody side), thinks that letting a foreign company build a monster of a data center, (to basically get free electricity), will bring 4000 workplaces/positions for the local community, and that Norway will become a leader in AI. @MiG21bisFishbedL is correct. Dotcom has returned.
  19. I'd get more use out of a downvote feature than a ChatGPT dynamic campaign.
  20. That shot of an Apache loading is a C-17, your only loading one of those in a C-130 cut in pieces.
  21. Carrier pilot is an excellent book for a personal take on a British FAA Corsair in the Pacific. And Tidal Wave by Thomas McKelvey Cleaver deals with the last months of the war. Including the British pacific fleet off Okinawa and even the British flying over Japan itself.
  22. You have made sure to use just tail fusing only when you use nose plug.
  23. Hi all, it's been a while since I have played in the Phantom but noted while doing the flight controls check the ground crew didn't call out rudder kick or neutral. Likewise on the stab augs he didn't call no movement for yaw although he did for the others. Just wondering if this is something new or just a random glitch for me?
  24. umm well i look at why DCS has helmets?
  25. I've never played some of the default instant missions for P-47 because they override my snap-viewed personal FoV settings. I've read it's beacuse of some leftover file ED put in these missions. Now, If I play my own mission afterwards, i expect the game properly loading my own view settings and for Thunderbolt it does. That being said, I remember when for a few years we needed to load D-25 and D-30 Mustang missions in correct order to avoid loosing all custom controls, same for clipped and non-clipped Spitfire. I'm glad this bug was fixed eventually. Maybe ac5 discovered a new but similar issue which doesn't go away unless game is restarted? I do use snap-view customized FoV in my Corsair and I haven't yet experienced missions resetting it to default even though I switch between training and my own ones multiple times. The only time it happened to me was when I switched from American Corsair to British MkIV one, because the latter uses separate camera settings and thus I had to separately customize it as well.
