  2. I bought this and an ejection firing handle from someone, but I can't seem to figure out what it's from. I had originally thought it was from a Mirage F1, but it doesn't have the autopilot disconnect trigger. Even trying to look up SAMM didn't help, and it doesn't look like any of the other Mirage control sticks I've seen. Thanks, folks.
  3. Track file of the AI dropping off an L118. I tried the default weight as well as minimum and very high temp4.trk
  4. There's also a lot of uneven taxiways on the south side of the airfield, where starting cold will have you rolling away if chocks aren't placed by default. I've also tipped a CH-47 over due to an invisible bump at the intersection of two taxiways.
  5. What I find interesting is, why would you force a lower resolution, when you are able to use DLSS upscaling in the DCS game options and your GPU supports it? For example, in DCS options, first set it at the native 3840x2160 (i.e, 4K) resolution, and then using DLSS at a desired setting (the "Upscaling" seting). - If set at "Quality" setting (=66% upscaling), you're basically running the game at 2560x1440 (i.e, 1440P) resolution, but upscaled through AI algorithm. - If set at "Balanced" setting (=50% upscaling), you're basically running the game at 1920x1080 (i.e, 1080P) resolution, but upscaled through AI algorithm. You'll then find that adjusting the setting "Sharpening" (right below it) will be required, as the image may look a bit too soft (personal taste, from 0.3 upto 0.7 should be good). It will look absolutely better (mindblowingly so!) than manually forcing a lower resolution, while keeping the native resolution, with all the big performance benefits. That's the one thing that DLSS got so good for so many games now (also Intel's XeSS and AMD's FSR, even if these are not as good) - it makes performance concerns with high resolutions (like 4K) solved for the most part. "Just do it!!" - - - On a different aspect, and about the Nvidia driver selection, you do whatever suits you (it's your PC)... But from personal experience with plenty different troubled systems, I'd strongly advise to not use latest drivers (any that are post 566.36) on any RTX 30 series GPU (like yours), though of course you'll get plenty "rubish, it's perfectly fine, ignore that" type of comments. I'd actually urge you to install Nvidia 537.58 WHQL drivers, and even better if it's a bloatware cleaned driver version from that specific Nvidia official driver release. These are considered the best drivers for RTX 30 (and older) series, because of stability, latency and frame pacing benefits that none later version was ever able to match (though driver 566.03 is not too bad). If interested, you can get Nvidia 537.58 WHQL "clean version" from here: https://mega.nz/folder/dQRX3AQI#9RmtXT0cTw45RsWxTQgYiw/file/JJ5kQAAC Uncompress (unzip) the package, then go to the folder with the extracted files, and run setup.exe to start the drivers installation. Also, before installing any Nvidia drivers, I'd also suggest to first uninstall your current Nvidia drivers with DDU: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5324 This will ensure that your system is clean of any display driver left overs (which can cause issues), before (re)installing Nvidia drivers. (SIDE NOTE: I prefer to use the portable version of DDU, it'll extract files to a directory of your choice - where you then go to run DDU, by 2x clicking in the executable) If you're not accustomated to this procedure with DDU, then you have a tutorial here: https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/uninstall-nvidia-amd-intel-gpu-drivers
  6. Now, we all have stories we wanna tell. Most of us will tell it through the events of a campaign. But if you want to shoot something for YouTube, you're usually stuck with one of two options: 1. carefully path the AI and HOPE they do what you intend or 2. Bring in a bunch of 'actors' to fly the jets, and hope that when it's time to shoot, the weapons do what you want them to do. Now, we've all seen some INCREDIBLE work by some talented individuals who can put together teams of people to get JUST the right shot. But what if we had access to some tools that made everyone's lives easier in this regard? What if you had the ability to have a path that an aircraft will follow, releasing a weapon at the exact point you want it to, and that weapon doing exactly what you want it to do? And this is just one example. I'm sure people here could come up with a number of shots they could pull off if the tools were present. What do you guys think? I imagine that ED has the tools already for their trailers... but can ya'll imagine what we could pull off if we had them?

  8. MP changes seem to be hit or miss. Sometimes I'll see an increase in MP, others not. There's also times where the MP doesn't change until I shift the Supercharger, even if I'm below critical altitude for that gear.
  9. It's more useful as a landmark than a blank spot.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Also the AI cannot drop it off - it just bounces and disappears
  12. by chance have you edited your HOSTS file? there was a strange issue previously, that a workaround was to edit this file. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  13. hello. someone will figure it out. my suggestion is to rename the Saved Games\DCS folder to DCS.BAK. then run DCS. a new folder will be created. the folder will be recreated. then copy your inputs from the backup folder. \Saved Games\DCS.bak\config\Input to the new folder. i feel something is amiss in options.lua.
  14. Keybinds have been added with 1st July 2025 update! Thank you ED team.
  15. You've made me remember the old Dangerous Waters from Sonarlys... I think it's one of the few simulators we've had that simulates a P-3/SH-60 in good conditions... Let's see if we can move this forward and improve everything that is EW/Sonar and ED is applied to improve it.
  16. Hello, after the latest update (july 1st 2025) I cannot refuel on Texaco 4-1,in fact when Devil 2-1 and Devil 2-2 quit their aerial refuel don't leave the area for the assgned task. They chase Texaco 4-1 and go for refuelling every 30 sec, that inhibits me and my wingman to proceed to AAR because they collide with my tails when I am alligned to the gasket.
  17. I think your INS may need some realignment.
  18. Hello. Other six duplications. Some look like spelling variations in language translating but.... Al Mafraq Al Ramtha / Ar Ramtha Al Ruseifa / Al-Ruseifa Beer-Sheba / Beersheba Kafar Karra / Kfar Kara Ramallah
  19. @MotorEAST @NineLine @BIGNEWY Still ain't been fixed in these last patch(es). Mustang, Mosquito OR Thunderbolt. Any news like a 'to-do-date' or anything??? You'll notice I didn't open up another ticket!! Rap
  20. The man had taste I can see. Going back to what you mentioned before about IDing emitters, I get it now. I've been re-watching a Starbaby video (former F-4G EWO) and he mentioned Specific Emitter Identification needing good intel and really only working with older systems. I looked this up and yes, it's just like you mentioned. The articles touch upon what I suggested as well (imperfections in each specific system within a model, giving it a unique fingerprint). Google AIs Overview: "Specific emitter identification (SEI) is a technique for identifying the unique characteristics of a transmitter by analyzing the imperfections in its emitted radio signals. These imperfections, often referred to as radio frequency fingerprints (RFFs), are unique to each transmitter due to manufacturing variations. SEI is valuable in various applications, including wireless network security, cognitive radio, and identifying the source of interference." Also: Specific Emitter identification for Radar Signals Really interesting stuff and makes me wonder about the intel side (human aspect as well) even more.

    DCS: Sinai

Sinai Development Progress OnReTech has pushed the Sinai map far beyond its original borders. The medium-detail zone now stretches northeast to include all of Israel, southern Syria, including Damascus, and even a slice of western Libya. This opens the door to fully model several Arab-Israeli scenarios without work-arounds or empty/low-detail areas. Across the entire theatre, every mountain face, desert plateau, and coastal plain has received new colour-corrected albedo and normal maps. Dawn over the Negev and Golan Heights at dusk never looked better. Five key airfields anchor this update: Israel’s northern Ramat David (complete with bespoke shelters), Saudi Arabia’s forward Tabuk airstrip, Lebanon’s Rafic Hariri international airport, and Syria’s twin airfields of Damascus International and Mezzeh. Each is ringed by newly created SAM fortifications and army bases. These locations are indicated as icons on the Mission Editor map. Further, dozens of bug fixes, terrain seams, and scene-layer glitches have been resolved. You’ll feel the difference when flying low and the details cranked up. Bye Phant

    DCS News Update

    Bye Phant
  23. The goal of this wish, is to create a single mission, or if needed, random missions, with no specific combat objective. Instead, populate a mix of armed and civilian activity on each terrain map. The primary goal is to allow players to perform either training or even recreational flight activities while being surrounded by activity making the world appear more alive and immersive. For example: Military airfields will have military aircraft taking off and landing. Civilian airfields will have civilian aircraft taking off and landing. Both military and civilian flights will be present in the air. Water areas will have water craft of all types What we have right now, are a few, very limited 'Free Flight' instant missions, and a variety of training missions. We also have civilian vehicle traffic including trains, which is great. A goal of this 'single' mission, or variation of mission generator, is to combine these goals (free flight & training) into a 'living world' back drop to facilitate armed and un-armed flight training. If someone reading this is thinking 'Just use the mission editor and create a living world on each map'. Then please do go ahead and do that, share me the link when you're done, I'll be appreciative .
  24. As someone indicated above, that light should only turn on when you have 3 minutes of WEP remaining, so it appears to be working at least roughly as intended if it took a bit to come on.
  25. Yes, that's is what I thought but maybe my original installation was from a very old executable. I was never asked what maps to install like this time! Thanks for your suggestions, again.
  26. Great if there is a way to make dust fully volumetric as current clouds instead of being composed by many 2d textures. Any improvement to the current particles effects I like! (kind of needed too)
  27. I'll 2nd what theIRIEone just said above. I read this as what they HAVE ALREADY fixed or tweaked (even though it may not be released yet). I in no way take them not mentioning the things you suggested as meaning they aren't on their radar to be fixed or tweaked. EDIT TO ADD: from their website as a prelude to the list: "Below is a definitive list of bugs and improvements we have made so far:" which definitely says that's what they've done at least internally (I'm assuming it's not all released yet), so no evidence from this they are discounting any of the issues you raised.
