  2. The coupon code is not where you use your spare miles that you have collected by buying products that gave you those miles. Right before you finish your order, there is a button on the lower right of the window where you can use your miles, if you have enough of them. (There is a small minimum, which is stated right at the same spot IIRC)
  3. This looks more Professional than any Mod. The 3D quality of the Cockpit is very impressive
  4. ^ Fair enough, but that's not the crux of the matter, though, is it? The way I understand it OP just has some spare miles in his account and wants to use them, while interface asks him about that mysterious coupon code (?) for whatever reason. It's been a long time since I last used my miles, and I admit I don't remember what and where I clicked to make them work. Still keep them for that upcoming Hellcat or Corsair, whichever shows up first.
  5. There is No 'tail wheel lock' on the Mossie, ..

  7. I really wish ED would make the tanker voices say, "nose cold, switches safe, ready pre-contact", although i think its a navy thing primarily, but still, its a good reminder. Boom operators deserve the ability to have kids too !!
  8. This topic was grilled so many times across different planes that i can not count them already. I will just repeat that feelings can't be entered in to code. They can fine tune code from pilot notes and tips but changing P-factor by 75% is like making a new FM from start. Not an easy task like moving p-factor slider which does not exist. If you poses documentation about P-47 flight tests which contradicts what is in game, sure you can drop it here and i'm sure that devs will take a look. I remember that on some topic that clip was analyzed, that torque factor is near non at high power take off speeds that roll is induced by other factors and it is the last thing what happens to the plane.
  9. Just a reminder, to maybe remind others to avoid my sweat-fest. Earlier I logged in, and was a bit surprised to find myself at the DCS Launcher, as I usually head right on in. Come to find out, DCS (or my computer) for some reason or another was creating a NEW Saved Games folder with only the DCS folder in there, as if it were a new installation....oh man.... So I had to use my brain, and before doing anything copied both the "old" Saved Games folder and this "new" saved games folder to another drive, and then recopied everything from the "old" directory (including replacing the "new" DCS folder, overwriting all the "new" stuff), and with bated breath launched again. Luckily, it worked, seems I'm back to normal. Bit of a scare there though, and I don't know what caused it. I don't know how many times I have to go through this in my life, but it always seem I slack off on making backups. It just so happened I picked up a 20TB external drive today to ensure that I have enough space to back up my entire PC, and also room to backup folders like the Saved Games folder. So things like this have been on my mind. Bottom line, if you aren't backing things up on a regular basis, make sure and at the very least every now and again back up the entire DCS and DCS server directories in the Saved Games folder. Over my 30 plus years of gaming, I would bet that DCS is the one game that holds the honor of being the game/sim that I have spent the MOST time setting up / creating, mainly the controls settings.
  10. Just to be clear, if you experience left yaw when you pitch forward to lift the tail in your takeoff roll this is gyroscopic precession. Pitching forward/lifting the tail would actually reduce the contribution of p-factor in this instance — resulting in a right turning tendency — as you are reducing the disparity of AoA and speed that the blades are experiencing between the left and right sides of the propeller disk compared to the more nose up three-point attitude. I am curious, are you maintaining a three-point attitude for the entirety of your takeoff roll? If so, I would suggest you transition to a more nose-low takeoff attitude earlier in your roll and work on maintaining directional control through that transition by easing the nose down smoothly and deliberately, with an appropriate amount of right rudder to compensate. The aircraft should lift off on its own in this attitude, and there should be very little contribution from p-factor for the remainder of your takeoff.
  11. Hi @Badger633, In the book Fire Strike 7/9, the author talks about some Hornets coming from the sea. There is even a story of two hornets that had failures in the middle of a bomb run and that have to distract to Kandahar as an emergency landing I don’t know if there is other books about that
  12. Yes, I left it after changing the values as Spicy had shown, in the autoexec.cfg in Saved Games/Config: options.graphics.Precaching = { around_camera = 10000; around_objects = 5000; around_types = {"world", "point"}; preload_types = {"map", "world", "mission"}; } It didn't seem to improve anything, after which I tried the increase in VM/swap file which seemed to have made the biggest impact. I may switch the precaching back to the default and see how it performs. Edit: After using the default values for around_camera and around_objects (50000, 10000, respectively) by renaming the autoexec.cfg file, I flew in the CWG map again - the FPS dropped a couple times looking north east, after the first time it stabilized back to 60, but after a while it came back. Hard to say, as it's not always consistent, but I think I will use the updated (i.e. 10000 and 5000) values again, as it seemed smoother to me before in combination with the larger swap file.
  13. @SOLIDKREATE Sorry to hear the deal fell through. Thanks for the response. Mike Force Team
  14. Надо. В играх ему нет равных, это доп кэш.
  15. OK, got it. Thanks ASAP!
  16. Pressing enter on the HUD takes a "delta" which is the difference between your GPS derived altitude and the altitude derived from your altimeter. In the sim it's not really simulated, but when you hit enter the number that your jet is deriving for the delta pops up. It's showing a zero for Delta and GPS because in sim land there is no difference. you hit enter again to accept the values. If you hit enter and you saw XXXXD over XXXXG it would mean your system is messed up and you need to manually enter a delta value through the IFFCC menu. You'd basically ask your wing man what delta they got and copy them, or you'd reference the weather planning data you took off with. Without getting too far into the weeds, when you do that you are storing those numbers in IFFCC. They don't really matter until you have an issue with your GPS or jamming that degrades your FOM to something worse than D5/B1 which indicates you didn't have a good GPS altitude source, you'd set that little switch "alt source" switch on the AACP (middle row on the left, it normally is in "baro") to "delta" and it'd use those values to calculate your actual altitude vs the altimeter altitude. That's all really important for the bombing triangle and your jet being able to accurately calculate weapons delivery stuff... but again, not really important in a virtual environment that is far simpler than real life.
  17. I'm sorry again,,This is DEMO_Miz that I tested. This is simply DML's CSAR Demo Miz with Persistence added. In SP, the M4 soldier spawns without any problem when the FLAG=100 trigger is triggered, but on a dedicated server running persistence, even in the same situation with FLAG=100, the text 'HELP! Someone killed my Chopper!' pop up, but the M4 soldier does not appear. Of course, if I remove the Persistence module it works fine on the same server. ...Am I forgetting something in the Persistence settings? Modified_demo - CSAR of Georgia.miz
  18. Agreed that's a fair comment if you ask it about something disputed and there are many different opinions on the internet. However, asking for stuff from official historic documents like aircraft pilot manuals and performance regulations is a pretty safe bet to be correct. What errors did it make in this thread?
  19. Um, stream deck profile? I can't seem to find it
  20. Yes, you're right. Little errors snuck in as things got changed and a few spots were missed despite all the proofing and testing. Following departure, you will of course arc right towards the coast and your first waypoint. As for Marshal stack upon returning, Mother will always order you to orbit at 3,000 ft to stay clear of the other flight(s) that are already recovering (IRL they'd fill up the stack starting at 2,000ft). Neither of these would affect your score, though. And yes, please don't microwave the tanker crew.
  21. Well like NL just said, it’s too high value to give away. That question has already been asked and answered, not even the topic here really. DCSW is free, so just have a separate install to trial modules with. If trials are something anyone really wants so much they can convert away from Steam altogether.
  22. @TimberWolf, I hear ya. After getting the advice in this topic about the AMD build. I've been looking at outside forums and reviews and it sounds like AMD is going strong right now. Even though I get sick at the idea of dropping so much money on a computer, my hands are tied I guess. It's unbelievable how pricey these components are, I was torn between going big on premium HOTAS and flight controls or building a new rig right now. I can rebuild and repair my flight controls if I need to for a while, so I decided to start with my PC.
  23. Does anyone know what 'Orange Crate' means for the F-105? image from: https://www.cybermodeler.com/aircraft/f-105/f-105_pit.shtml
  24. Still using the precaching file edit?
  25. The 9800X3D isn't a very power-hungry chip. That is one of its biggest advantages over the Intel CPUs. So no need for crazy watercooling. I have a $60 air cooler on mine and it does just fine. The real power draw is going to be from the GPU, although a 5080 at least isn't crazy power-hungry like the 5090. I also agree with getting a 4TB drive. I have a 2TB and regret not going bigger. Once you get to a certain point, speed isn't going to make a big difference, and if you have to watch your budget, it makes more sense to get a slightly slower 4TB drive over a faster 2TB drive.
  26. Privy to ED's sales figures? No. Indications that player numbers have been lower than they were during the pandemic? For sure. Steam charts clearly indicate a boom in 2020 (like happened with every PC and console game) but then active userbase has been decreasing since the beginning of 2023. https://steamcharts.com/app/223750#All We're not counting the non-Steam users here. But I'd guess is safe to say their chart would be similar. Again - having free trials is great. But there is no such thing for Steam users, where a huge portion of the userbase is, and from where newcomers also come from (I'd wager far more than non-steam newcomers). DCS belongs to a niche genre of PC gaming. Relying on the current userbase only is short sighted. Newcomers must be taken into account. Once interested they will add to the userbase who continuously invests on paid content - what sustains DCS and makes it grow. Again, you only have one chance to do well on first impressions... I think sacrificing a simpler to operate, already mature (zero impact on development) and cheap (low revenue) module, to turn it into free default/included content, is the easiest and probably best solution to lure in new players. And the good old F-15C is the right module for that. Well, that's unfortunate but it's understandable. I didn't know that it had ended, I stand corrected.
