  2. You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you so much. I was able to successfully complete the mission with this change. What an amazing series of training missions. Definitely the most in-depth in all of DCS. I'm also glad I saw your note about the rockets because the rocket training mission was bugged (until I realized I should just select one pylon at a time). Thank you so much for the support with this. Between the VFR and IFR training, I feel like I know and can fly this aircraft better than almost any of the other ones. Looking forward to trying the campaign.
  3. I support this message.
  4. I wish the cockpit shots matched the external airframes. -1D canopy, noting the armor plate up top. -5 Canopy does not have canopy armor plate.
  5. Looks like INS didn't finish aligning, check what the switch position actually was. ALIGN should flash, then you move the switch to NAV. Maybe the autostart script is broken or you have some bindings messing with it. Does this happen to you if you start up manually? Also a track is better than a video, we don't see any switch positions here so hard to tell you more.
  6. I agree. This map desperately needs a quality pass to add finer details and POIs, refine the GIS data, and make everything look less like a reheated Caucasus. It appears that the team simply lacks the manpower to do this in time for leaving the EA. Hopefully, they'll get to it once the base work is done, like they did with the Falklands.
  7. Today
  8. so ive finally got round to filming again and so today i got stuck in but after hours of messing around i found out that things werent quite as they seem in the mission im on the apron, cold start at groom lake, i go through the normal auto start (L Win + Home) let everything complete, then i taxi out and take off, heading to steer point 1, except steer point one never came, and also on my HSD i was flying backwards down the steer point line! as in a was facing forward but flying backwards down the steer point line. so i thought i'd test the autopilot, stp and alt mode and it just randomly veers off so after many retests ive made a video of whats going on im not sure whats happend ive done heaps of these where i just put down points, start, take off and fly with no issues, all of a sudden its messed up not sure if its a bug or if im doing something wrong, anyway heres the video, hope you can help

It does work on my end. But, I already had a server.lua in my saved games\dcs\config\views folder. When I'm back at my flight pc, I'll upload my server.lua file. Maybe you could put try using my file and see if it works.
  10. And here I am, thinking it was the destination year for the time travel pod....
  11. BETA SKIN RELEASED @nws9140
  12. I will give that a try...thanks. Been beating my head against a wall and to frustrated to see the trees for the forest. Edit: Yes, my drivers are up to date. Thanks in advance if this works lol.
  13. Overall I thought it was o.k. but the Corsair flight scenes were great.
  14. Just a quick note - My New Marianas WW2 Train Pack has just been uploaded to the dcs files section and should be available soon if it passes moderation thanks. Its just a very lean 9.64 mega bytes total ! Have Fun Waterman
  15. @Reflected Reflected, you ever considered looking into Operation Musketeer with the French corsairs of 1956? Pretty good campaign that took place over the Suez Canal with significant use of the French F-4Us doing a lot of air to ground stuff. Might make for an interesting campaign since we have the Sanai map. It would be a perfect fit. Only thing I have not looked into is the AI assets needed for a campaign like that. From what I have read, they were mostly Carrier born operations with some ground launched. Already some liveries out there for the French that are outstanding. I was flying with one of them in my last video. It would take some research for sure but might be worth your time. I would buy it in a heartbeat if you pulled that one off. Carrier born Corsair operation over the Suez Canal taking out ships and targets in the canal. Be a cool one for sure. Check it out. Operation Musketeer (1956) - Wikipedia
  16. Look at the oil temperature. If oil gets hot, open the oil cooler. If oil gets cold, close the oil cooler. If you are slow with a lot of power, open cooler in advance may help. Same but reverse if you are fast with low power, closing it may help. Also helpful to know the OAT so you can judge it a bit better.
  17. so I'm not really skilled at adding files so my question is about the DCS RWR file and the avionics files....do I just add the folders to the main dcs folder or do they go somewhere specific? I have spent the last 3 days reinstalling DCS after a series of 4 short power failures in rapid sucession during a storm killed my PC!! The PC shop was able to save my personal data on the PCs Nvme 250GB SSD, and my 1Tb SSD with DCS game folder was fine but my 500GB SSD with save games was damaged and reads as Damaged drive, So I have had to replace it with a 2nd 1Tb SSD (should have got a 2Tb and put DCS game folder on that as it takes up most of the 1TB drive now!). So far I have reinstalled DCS, moved save games to the 1Tb new drive, downloaded some of my lost Mods....F22A, A4C-E, F15Ex, C130. Mil aircraft pack, Civ aircraft pack and YF12A, still need to UH60(plus armed gunship mods), the Juan Carlos LHD (so I can have the Aussie LHDs and Hobart class), Su34, and a heap of Ch's stuff. Still trying a few tricks to recover data off my old SSD...
  18. 1.1 Our simulated version has the famous stall strip on the right wing that was added to offset the wing drop. 1.2 The real Corsair also has a large, destabilizing fuselage moment ahead of the CG. 1.3 The simulated F4U seems easy to trim and is stable even when mom is not looking!
  19. Little bit of Carrier landing advice toward the end. Time stamped it in case it helps those of you struggling.
  20. Posted a year ago on these forums..... And no, since then and so far, it doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference for DCS (but can make a difference to other games).
  21. Doesn't turning down the ICS volume down work anymore?
  22. Video card drivers up to date? Have you tried repairing the Meta Quest Windows app by downloading and running the installer again?
  23. Background updates, i.e., running DCS while its being updated, would be another great feature (being worked on, unfortunately, as part to the launcher). Preferably, it should enable already running part of the new version (base DCS + user-selected terrains) while the rest is being updated in the background. Obviously, that requires download speed limits to enable simultaneous multiplayer.
  24. Hi everyone, looking for some feedback on my selection of parts for my new PC. Hoping to run VR and occasional flatscreen. Haven’t decided yet on a VR headset either. Any recommendations? CPU • AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D GPU • ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 5080 16GB GDDR7 RAM • Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 128GB (4 x 32GB) 5600MHz Primary Storage • Team MP44Q PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD – 1TB Secondary Storage • Crucial P3 Plus NVMe M.2 SSD – 4TB Motherboard • ASUS PRIME X870 WIFI CSM CPU Cooler • Thermalright 360mm Liquid Cooler Power Supply • FSP Hydro G PRO 1000W (80+ Gold Certified) Case Fans • 9 x Generic Fans
  25. Yeah, definetly Very unlikely. I only use AM presets on my Victor radio, and I always make sure it is setup correctly before taxi. And as far as I remember, when I saw that I was not having any feedback from the LSS guy, I doubled check that my preset was correct. Thanks a lot
  26. I got it in the downloads section, if you can't find it let me know and I'll pack it up and put it on mediafire for you. You have the encoders? found it... https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/type-is-mod/unit-is-p-47d/apply/ LOL, it's the only mod for the Jug on the page....
  27. Just a heads up. That's the default key combo in most modules. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
