  2. It's very likely that the company that does the jet for MSFS will be the same that'll do it for DCS. See Heatblur, who develop their planes for both in parallel. The company will benefit from research and modeling (both 3D and physics) done for one when making the plane for the other. It makes no sense for ED nor HB to work on Rafale.
  3. Replaying this campaign in the F-86F right now (already did the MiG-15 version about a year ago) and really can only agree with what others wrote here. * Storytelling is great, the whole "fly an old plane in a modern conflict" theme is fun, but also well-grounded based on the provided background * Mission scripting is superb, never had the feeling that I'm "hunting triggers", events just unfold naturally (sometimes also unexpected ones) I've now played a fair share of single player campaigns, and this one still feels like a hidden gem - really looking forward to new ones ;).
  4. A fix on Bx1 - Bx5 act like normal navigation points (B) in that fixes made on them will affect all the other waypoints. You can see them as extra navigation points you can make fixes on, but that you maybe not want to fly over. Bx6, Bx7 and Bx9 will act as target waypoints (M) and will only affect the waypoint selected. A fix on Bx8 will move Bx8, and also Bx6, Bx7 and Bx9. Radar fix or visual fix does not change the behaviour.
  5. This is correct. It does not matter which type of fix you perform (either RADAR or OVERFLY), a fix on a navigation point shifts the whole flight plan. Any fix on a target waypoint shifts the target waypoint, nothing more.
  6. Hi everyone. I'd like to show you what I've come up with. But I want to redesign the throttle control panel in a Mustang style. And add a separate gear for the chassis. By the way, by switching to 24V power supplies, reducing the height of the joystick gear to 215mm, and increasing the size of the large gears to 68 teeth, I got 17 kg on the joystick with a 40 cm handle height!!! And with my old pedals, I got 40 kg!!!
  7. This happens for me as well, from cold and dark totally repeatable the nav system resets and the game stutters when I start to taxi from the stand. I’ll upload a track when I’m next on DCS
  8. I thought this was a livery wishlist. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  9. Hallo zusammen.
  11. Which aircraft, what airport? Have you tried waiting further away from the runway?
  12. Please note, I have added our own SPO-15 Manual to the first post in this thread, thanks.
  13. Yes... temporarily, going through a model update & should be back in the next version of Armed Blackhawk.
  14. You got error "DX device removed. Reason: 0x887A0005". Which generally indicates a graphics card hardware or driver issue. See and https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/startup/#3312253
  15. From an AH-64D SME: There seems to be a misconception as to the correct procedures for employing the AGM-114L RF missiles, and some players are approaching the problem with the wrong solutions. When engaging targets with an RF missile, you decide when to fire the missile and then perform the target handover to the missile, not the other way around. It's described in the DCS manual, but the AGM-114L has an inertial guidance system to fly to its target when it is fired in LOAL mode. However, the missile is not a JDAM or similar munition that receives GPS augmentation. It is purely inertial, and as seen in other aircraft in DCS that use inertial guidance, this can lead to inaccuracy due to accumulation of errors over time. A target handover to the RF missile should be happening coincidentally with the intent to immediately fire it, not to fire it at some later time. It should be target handover and trigger pull. With that in mind, the idea that you don't even know if the target is in range of the missile before actioning an RF missile to engage that target is backwards. Because a target handover and trigger pull should go hand in hand, if the intent is to engage a target with an RF missile, the correct procedure is to determine if engagement parameters have been met before committing to the engagement itself. Therefore, you should be using the NO WPN option with George CPG and manually commanding him to designate the target to determine if you are in range to fire (again, it's what NO WPN is there for). If you are in range, then tell him to action MSL with the type set to RF. George emulates a real crewmember and the procedures and cockpit workflow of real aircrews. Assigning a weapon system to the AI CPG is not just telling him to action a weapon, it is an implied task to prepare to engage that target with that weapon system, which is why he does everything required to ready that system for engagement and will then fire the weapon if in FREE FIRE. The fact he waits for you to consent to fire if in HOLD FIRE is just so you can ensure the aircraft is pointed in the right direction and the missile isn't going to hit terrain or your wingman. And ultimately, the OP has yet to provide a track replay demonstrating that there is in fact a bug with the implementation. Commentary from other users that George is not implemented correctly is not relevant if the underlying procedures for employing the weapon correctly are being disregarded.
  16. I noticed that the bug only appears in TAA, not in MSAA...
  17. Split back into its own thread. thank you
  18. I guess it needs a comment from ED about whether there is a reported general issue with sling-loading on the dedicated server. I assume it's something that was tested in a multiplayer environment initially but maybe some subsequent updates have caused this issue. There's also the collision mesh for the map to be accounted for as well, which could be a 3rd party responsibility for maps like Syria, Germany or Kola. @BIGNEWY are you aware of an issue with sling-loads on the dedicated server acting erratically when dropped off, even when running a Caucasus mission?
  19. Hello! Im working on a mission where I want the player to hold short of the runway while AI Aircraft comes in to land. However the AI just goes into a holding pattern. I haven't crossed the Runway Hold Short Line at all. What to do?
  20. I really thought I had it, and I still think I can do it. This time I got the farthest ever. It still sucks to report that my game crashed 2NM out of touchdown. Pretty sure it has nothing to do with the mission though, my game crashes more frequently than usual. PFA the log, and here's the track in my drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VnhWzoHX0G7ti28k4FIZnhpvDPDJ6dht/view?usp=sharing dcs.log-20251004-194741.zip
  21. Are you within your launch parameters? Assuming your observer locked a target and you are estimated to be in range, you have to align the moving reticle (which shows where your observer is aiming) and the fixed reticle. You will hear a tone then. Press and hold your weapon release button when you do.
  22. Thanks everyone for your comments, but I'm preparing another video with everything in working order, and soon the same thing happens. I need to figure out if it's my fault... Thanks When the video is ready, I'll upload it and see if you can give me ideas about what mistakes I'm making.
  23. Today
  24. Everything is possible, but since DCS has both Russian and Ukranian end users, I'd rather not have such a Campaign made yet, maybe after this stupid War ends.
  25. Thank you Rob
  26. DCS isn’t a Quest game so won’t be in the app library. How are you currently connecting your headset to your PC and running games? Connect your headset to your PC via link and then start DCS on your PC using the normal shortcut you always use. Make sure that you have enabled VR headsets in the VR settings of DCS.
