You don't have VoiceAttack by chance? If yes, you can add the free community driven plugin which let's you skip that radio menu, and let you speak the commands. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I had this problem too, I could not extend the speed brake with the fuel tank installed, then I couldn't drop the tank either ,regardless of all my tries, resulting in fast landings and broken gear.
-
The optimal solution would be to manually move power lines further from thresholds (easier than moving airfields themselves or adding another mast type).
-
Interesting! Why? Sad but true.

Re. the armament, the dead horse that has been beaten numerous times on this forum, apparently Priller's book is the only anecdotal source claiming pods were used on -K, and there's no evidence of 151 being used in frontline units as Motorkanone either. Thus I wouldn't expect anything 20 mm being added. Cockpit refresh, on the other hand, why not? Albeit, if you're not fussed about multiplayer and integrity check, have you tried Sab0t's excellent 4k mod?

Its actually a terrain issue, believe it or not, I am following it up to see what is going on. But the terrain builders, both us and 3rd Parties, need to supply the map levels for each. So while not specifically a F/A-18C bug it does affect it. I am trying to chase up where we are at on this.

@joso Sweet! How long is from the top of the mounting on the base and the bottom of the grip? Is it comfortable when deflecting in any direction, and are your legs in the way? Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

The masts at Waren Vielist are certainly not Danube-type, but something considerably shorter. They also located further from the threshold than in DCS (1800 ft vs 1400 ft). The masts near Hasselfelde are indeed Danubes (160 ft / 50 m tall in DCS). But that powerline passes way closer to the in-game threshold than it does in reality (1600 ft vs 3200 ft), so it looks more threatening than it should. Weser Wumme seems correct both in terms of mast type and threshold distance, so I'll remove it from the report.

Hello Sydy! Thank you for your work, I use your checklist everytimes. In the following vid, at 00.44 we can see that he switches of all the systems then cut both engines and after switches off all electrical . Could you amend your checklist to match this please? https://youtu.be/CwMwTyO4OwI?si=71vynQ9x8NMHmm9u Cheers

I mean the reality of the 70's and into about the mid 80's pretty much no Air to air fighters had CM's fitted for those missions. It was mostly ground attack. F15A no CM's, early F15C's no CM's (they tucked a chaff bundle under the speed brake, just in case), Harriers in the falklands no CM's. The list goes on and on. Ground attack aircraft variously did fit them, but it wasn't universal there either until the very late 80's. The problem in DCS is you don't really have any options to deal with this, especially in MP. Like, great we have a 9.12... Which can fight what period opponents in MP... Oh right the F4E, Mirage F1, and "early" (not out yet) F14A from HB... But in MP servers its fighting all the F-teens from 2003 cuz the community is willfully ignorant of the realities of what fought what and when. And sadly no "early" F-teens aside from the "early" F14A are coming. It woulda been nice to get the Mig23 so at least we could sorta do iran/iraq for which that planeset works, but alas that didn't happen.

scommander2 started following When can we pre-order C-130J on Steam?
-
As I know that there is no pre-order according to the Steam policy. However, when this mod is available to sale @ ED officially, and it is available in Steam. This is the limitation of getting the new ED mods from Steam.... sorry
-
The mid to late ‘70s was not a strong period for the US economy; given the F-15 is being developed for the air to air role and the F-16 is coming on board specifically to be a more cost effective fighter and ground attacker and there are limited $ available, investment in the F-4 was likely not a priority; those bucks were better spent on the new toys.

Multiplayer, slingload rope, 2nd load
Stefan Graber replied to Stefan Graber's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
Bravo ED!!! You're almost there: FINALLY, sling loading has been working again, at least partially, since version 2.9.4. The first load can be picked up several times and dropped off again at different locations without damage. Unfortunately, all subsequent loads (from the second onwards) still jump somewhere and destroy themselves. At least F1 = cancel works again. -

reported earlier Sharing some log errors (might help in debugging)
MAXsenna replied to jackmckay's topic in General Bugs
@Snacko I totally agree regarding all the errors that one should think would be easily fixed. Myself I use a live log viewer so I can monitor DCS when it loads. It also filters, (user customisable), out errors in red so they are very easily found. If you need any tips, just shout out. Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -
I have done it, several times (and many others), and you always say the same, but the bug is still there. 4 YEARS, and you haven´t even attempted to fix an error that prevents the basic use of an instrument on one of your main modules, how is that caring? You surely do for many things, but not for this one, I don´t understand, it seem like the easiest of fixes to do related with maps scale. No I wont DM, cause the last time I did the same and there was no answer for weeks. So I do it here: From 2021: Please, don´t say is reported (again), to do nothing about it for years.

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Bremspropeller replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
So the third button (Land) positively has no effect or function and is not tied to anything whatsoever? -
They even started on it, but back tracked. No idea why. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

I'm away for three days due to work, so can't make a track file. Can someone else just go into mission editor, and lock up a head on target at around 60km, and then press the first detent, and let the target close to you and post that track here? It will show up as a funnel at first, and then flicker to the target circle occasionally, then somewhere around 50-30km it will be just be the solid circle.
-
Not sure what that means, but whatever works for you! The FFB2 is as precise as it gets. Less resolution than newer ones of course. It's easily observable in the controls indicator, DBview, VPC control panel or whatever. The stick has a few mm in the centre where it doesn't register any input. I use an extension so it's even more observable for me. One gets used to it, mostly in AAR, and in helicopters it doesn't matters as much, as one is not trimmed in the centre. Cheers!

DCS MiG-29A Flight performance and air drag seems weird
Ironhand replied to HoMeBoY's topic in DCS: MiG-29A Fulcrum
Point 1: The flight model is the same as the FC model. Yes and no. It’s probably more accurate to say that the FC model is now the same as the FF module. I’ve noticed changes to the FC model, since work began on the FF module. Point 2: It seems too slick compared to other aircraft. I guess I never felt that way. It a fairly lightweight aircraft with large engines for its size and not a lot of drag at higher speeds. So it was kind of what I’d expect. Without that airbrake out, it can take awhile to slow down. Point 3: Landing. It’ll float forever, if you’re landing too fast for your weight. With 30-ish% fuel and 2 AAMs you should be touching down around 265 km/hr. With less, you should be seeing 250-260 on the HUD. Don’t know if that’s your issue but it is for a lot of folks. My 2 cents.
