F-16C Core Avionics were changed significantly over the last few patches w/ the addition of SniperXR, DTC, DL, And more in depth MFD Pages etc. As well as additional animations for cockpits and pilots, It's likely both the 3D Model Animations and Cockpit systems scripts would need an extensive overhaul.

You could link to a comment showing this alleged evidence too. And again, calling people out on making unproven claims is not cheerleading, it is simply not being biased.

Badass1982 started following SAM Template for this map
-
Does anyone have or is creating a mission/template with all the sams and ground forces places realistically across this map? I'm eager to start my mission on it but wouldn't know where to start with placing red and blue sams etc so I was wondering if someone had already done it , TBH I wouldn't actually mind if it was a created mission as i would strip it out and build my own whilst leaving the sam sites. Thanks,

perfect, and I'd like to think a few others, totally missed that thank you for the clarification

Just to be absolutely sure - what works and what does not? Because there was a problem with the default zoom (the zoom after the mission starts, that is the zoom for the default view). This is just another problem, although it has been fixed in the meantime... Can you at least tell us what is happening with your Saved Games\<DCS>\Config\View\SnapViews.lua file? Does it change when you notice the unexpected behavior? That is - back it up and then compare it (use some kind of diff tool). Also, does it happen with any other plane? Does it happen on any other map with the same plane? This may be plane-related. In SW anything is possible, so it may be even map-related, but I doubt this one. To hunt it down, you have to go analytical.

ALL mods go in Saved Games or they will not work, and you get the above message. Cheers!

I will provide screen shots later. I know it’s not as sharp as TGP. But it should be as sharp as on my other PC But busy days now so no time to fly. Maybe next week. Thanks for showing interest.

When you are inside the cockpit of another aircraft you can´´t see the afterburner animation of Tomcats anymore. For example when you watch a Tomcat take off from a carrier, you can see the reflection of the afternurner on the deck, but the actual animation on the exhaust of the plane is mssing is mssing. It is visble though, when you switch to outside view. Playing in VR, have not tested it in 2D

Who says that? We've been asking for TWO brake axis for years!

I have no idea why I can't save tracks, that feature somehow got broken and it copies the same track over and over again. I am unable to save tracks, it just saves an old one each time, no idea why. Will try to fix it. So maybe someone can record a track for this. I think I found out that if you boresight your mavericks flying south to north, then boresighting the mavericks will have a slight error along the length axis, so it will deviate a bit before or aft of the target (little bit to the south, little bit to the north). If you now attack from east to west, the error will be to the side (still a bit north or a bit south, instead of long or short of the target), and maverick handoff will fail, because the error now matters, and you will land a significant distance away from your target. The error needs to be a angular one, not meters to the north / south / east / west something. Steps to reproduce: - Align your mavericks in the air, flying south to north. Check if they return to the target with TMS down, they will. - Now fly around that target, and attack the same target with a 90 degree offset (west to east). You will see that your mavericks are now shifted left or right. - Attack from the south, and alignment will be better again, because the error doesn't matter as much now (as you are a bit in front of or aft of the target, but the seeker will still point right at it) Maybe someone can test that and record a track... Because my track feature broke. Attached a mission file to test, there is a single target a bit south of the others. Boresight your mavs and that target, fly out east and notice the direction and visible amount of the error. Let me know if you see the same or not. Sounds weird, I know... So thanks for taking a look. Hope my description was understandable. Tested with the ATP but I'm pretty sure it's the same with the Litening. Mav_test_boresight.miz

You don't need 2FA, (Like Google Authenticator), to log into your account to DCS to play. Only correct user/password. But that's the same as the main site. Cheers!

evidence. Im pretty sure I can get evidence of who definitively shot JFK and he will still question it because it doesnt involve LHO. No, at this point, its monkey business.
-
I have landed several times within parameters, approach speed 90kts and 3 pt. attitude, and the tail hook has torn off. I then take off again without repairing the hook and with the cockpit tailhook lever in the lowered position have landed normally as if the tailhook was attached and functioning. Is this a bug?
-
Sorry. that's what I meant when wrote regenerating. My campaigns are organized the same way. I have all terrains, almost all modules and majority of paid campaigns. I normally choose the module first and then the terrain and campaign or mission I would like to fly. Therefore I organized everything accordingly.
-
You guys can also share your evidence in DMs if you are so bound and determined to change someone's mind, but yes, please keep to the first post here.
-
On DCS, Campaigns are files of type .cmp not .exe. Campaigns function within the DCS environment, so you need to run DCS first, and then load the Campaign there. If you place the Campaign files on the location suggested by its documentation, then on DCS you find the Campaign under its "Campaign" menu Item, and then select "My Campaigns"

You know...I can show it to you, its been showed to you by other people better than me. I cant understand it for you, or see it for you. I get it; you love cheerleading for Ron. Put your big boy panties on and just know that all you gotta do is accept that 2+2=4.

"evidence"
-
Right. The evidence is all around, I just can't present it to you...
-
The unit setting shouldn't affect aircraft avionics, though I think FC3/4 is an exception in this regard, but I am not sure. So the F-16 for example will only show you imperial units, and that has always been like this. The unit setting only/mostly affects units outside of an aircrafts cockpit, so F2 view, mission editor, F10 etc.

Evidence is all around you, you just dont like what you see. Quit asking dumb questions.

make night sky more realistic, including milky way
upyr1 replied to nir's topic in DCS Core Wish List
yes there are stars in the southern sky and I want to see them. It would be awesome to have a historically correct night sky
