  2. Almost 2 years later since the start of this thread. Decided to make the ever rare attempt at playing DCS. This shutdown and incorrect operation is still present.
  3. Anyone else have this problem? After update the flir on with the Hornet tanks my fps. I used to get steady 90+, now in the same night bombing mission it drops to single digits with the flir on. CPU utilization is much higher too. Unplayable as is.
  4. Corsairs we’re in service in enough numbers to draw conclusions, as was the Hellcat (though fewer/land based units) There were enough confrontations in 1943 to ascertain where the aircraft stood in relation to each other once silly over-claiming is dismissed and actual loss records for both sides examined. The later war scewed kill ratios were a result of decimated Japanese pilot ranks as the war progressed. A 1:1 kill ratio does, precisely illustrate the efficacy of the Zero against the other 2 types, there’s no debate to be had there. In combat, on equal terms, …It’s the later scewed ratio that does not reflect the efficacy of the Zero due to unskilled Japanese pilots later in the war. That’s just how it happened - I commented on this in the “paging Nick Grey” thread already. I
  5. Does the Iskander finally have a ballistic trajectory?
  6. I noticed a Problems with the new SA-22 Pantsir and the Tor M2 missile Systems..when the player control the Vehicles the radar or tactical radar map isn´t working at both Systems new Pansir no radar .trk new Tor M2 no radar .trk
  7. Take off ok, flying around with temps all good, and the engine just stops. Happened two times in a row...Alright Gurus...Why? What has changed and what am I doing wrong? Thx.
  8. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it won't happen. It's a known bug https://forum.dcs.world/topic/285558-warbird-tail-oblomok-shapes-with-desynced-argument-values-regrowing-warbird-tails/
  9. Great to see these ported to the Marianas map. It is beyond me why they chose to place them on the Caucasus map instead of the beautiful and equally free Marianas WW2 map. +1 for a dedicated Missions and Campaigns section
  10. Just playing with George all new features and noticed it can detect enemy targets "hidden" in the editor, waitng for their activation. There is nothing ahead in the terrain, nothing on F10 map, but George after a search command, displays a full list of the hidden targets to attack
  11. Nice update. It's fantastic that Currenthill's add-ons are slowly but surely making their way into DCS. It's an absolutely brilliant decision. I've also been waiting a long time for the MSI update for the Hornet and I'm glad to finally see that we're on the right track with it. DCS Afghanistan is now quite nice to look at thanks to the latest update, which gives me hope for future progress of the Iraq map. Overall, there have been some nice improvements recently, which I'll honor with the purchase of the MiG-29. Good work deserves it. With that in mind, please keep up the good work, and above all, please make sure the MiG-29 is an absolute blast upon release...
  12. Not from us.
  13. Dev Team, please fix this ASAP. For reference, the Aim-9P3 and Aim-9L work perfectly fine, but all AJS variants of these missiles fail to lock. Suspected issue: seeker sensitivity is set way too low.
  14. From my short look on the M70B Zonrör there seems to be a case to be made that it's simpily the third version of the M70. The first two is the shu m/70 (shu=spränghuvud =explosive head) and the pshu m/70 = pansarspränghuvud (armor-explosive head), the third is the pshu m/70 zonar (proximity fuse) where the zonar is a combined word taken from zonrör and radar, (I think) Theory: The zonrör is made to be a HE-fragmentation blast and the reason why it has armor or pansar in it's name is up to anyone but my guess would be to silence enemy radar sites by throwing explosive fragments over the radar disks that need intact frames to gather a good track picture. Maybe light vehicles or even air to air if sensitive enough. (close, read below) from a War Thunder forum https://forum.warthunder.com/t/missing-psrak-m-70-13-5cm-rocket-variants/176910 The m/70 can be fitted with 3 warheads, two HE warheads, shu m/56/70 and shu m/70 and a HEAT warhead pshu m/70. The HEAT warhead can be configured as multiprupose by mounting a proximity fuse. This fuse can be used against both aerial and ground targets (overhead detonation) Practically speaking, all Arak M/70 launchers should be given the load options, my personal favorite is the m/70 zonar HEAT-MP, as it would be funny to hit low flying aircraft with when they are attempting to evade the RB-71 rapidly closing in. (The JA-37 could mount both)
  15. Thanks so much for this! I usually avoid the old Caucasus map like cancer nowadays if I don't fly a fitting aircraft for it. Also +1 one for a dedicated Missions & Campaigns sub-forum
  16. Good afternoon - the most recent update to DCS: Afghanistan is amazing! Thank you for your continued work on this map. I did notice a few additional terrain bugs that still exist. Just wanted to pass them along. Keep up the good work! Thanks, DeadboltMDub
  17. Anyone knows how to add new current hill units to the new 2.0.4 databases?
  18. For the last two and a half years that I’ve been flying the F-16C here on DCS, it’s always sounded like that to my ears. I don’t know if that is real life start up sound but to me it has always sounded like that here on DCS. Hope this helps.
  19. I wonder if the loadmaster will be able to walk around while th C-130 is airborne, and if so, whether he can jump out. Any info about that available yet? Same about the pilots? Leaving a burning aircraft in time could be helpful.
  20. That is not true. A20 (and also every other warbird than Corsair) can lost tail and can't grow another. IMHO zombie bomber bug is gone in 2.9.19.13478
  21. Blackburn's Irregulars Thanks to Magnitude 3 for the bug fixes of today's update!
  22. Well, the F6F first entered combat in late august 1943, and Corsairs were only around in small numbers. I guess there were some P-38. But regardless, I don't think those 1:1 stats reflect the competitiveness of the A6M5 vs the F6F-3 or F4U-1. Wasn't it more that weaknesses discovered from captured Zeros and improved tactics enabled the US pilots to achieve a 1:1 ratio with predominantly the F4F wildcat? Also, some veteran superaces of the Japanese being able to utilize the Zero effectively in 1943 speaks more to their ability than that of the aircraft. No hate on the Zero though. It had a good run. It was the best for a good while.
