Oh ffs, the doomsayers are on the run again. Please, if you don't like DCS or can't wait for it to fail - Just. Walk. Away. But please stop trying to convince everybody else that it is flawed or doomed. When you have specific things to criticise, by all means, go ahead, idealy provide evidence and suggest solutions - but this kind of BS, please no!

For me the solution was to change the performance settings in windows. Switching the PC from "balanced" to "best performance" fixed the stuttering issue for me.

Quite the understatement

There is definitely something wrong. But it might be on DCS side (I don't have any mod and I repaired DCS). I flew M2 again and still scored 50 (see tacview file). I skipped it and flew M3. I was scoring 0 after takeoff so I shut down DCS then opened it again, then scored 50 right at the begining. I don't have scoring issue with other campaigns though. I can confirm that. It sounds strange. I just couldn't figure out exactly why that is.

Were wings not clipped to improve low-altitude performance? That’s why the Spitfire’s wings were clipped in some variants, I believe…

I'd be surprised if the small change to the wingtip profile made any meaningful difference to performance in real life. Maybe with very careful testing they might have been able to detect a difference, but why would they bother? It needed to be done (to fit some RN carriers), so they did it. Pilots who expected a difference might have thought there was one, but given all the other variables, there's no particular reason to assume this was more than imagination. And even if there was a difference, we don't have data on it...

Ну вот за это прям отдельное спасибо. Я-то сначала предполагал, что и Вихрю можно дать внешнее ЦУ а тут всё не так просто ввиду фактически отсутствия ГСН как таковой. Ракета в принципе строго говоря не знает куда летит. Ей нужно сразу после пуска попасть в "лазерный конус" в рамках которого луч создаёт растр, создающий сетку по определённому циклу, благодаря чему ракета понимает, в каком месте растра она сейчас находится и корректирует свой полёт, поскольку "имеющийся в схеме управления ракетой фильтр частот отсекает токи большей частоты, которые пропустил фотодиод (это значит, что ракета близко к центральной оси конуса и коррекция полёта не требуется). При этом фильтр частот пропускает токи меньшей частоты, благодаря которым на двигатель рулевого привода подаётся управляющий сигнал, отклоняющий рули ракеты в нужную сторону". В общем, у Вихря совсем свой принцип наведения. Правда остаётся открытым вопрос, можно ли так всё ещё навести Х-25, с внешнего подсвета. С того же Апача, например. Поскольку там ПАЛ ГСН

Bonjour, j'utilisais un HP G2 avec Open XR et Toolkit. J'utilise maintenant un Meta Quest 3, et je suppose qu'il fonctionne également avec Open XR et Toolkit. Cela signifie donc que les paramètres du Quest 3 ne sont pas forcément les mêmes que ceux du HP G2 ? Et pour que le Quest 3 fonctionne avec Open XR et Toolkit, dois-je également désactiver les paramètres du HP G2, car il est toujours installé ? J'ai besoin de vos conseils. Hey there. It appears that since some update our (still correct) sound is overlapped with some DCS default speedbrake sound that pops in/out at high frequency. Not sure yet why, but this DCS default noise is the offender, creating the flapping sound. It wasnt there before and now its suddenly there. Probably gotta poke ED about it, cheers.

Hi guys, I'm wondering if someone is able to edit the cockpit color to a more suitable and realistic one. There are some options on ED site but they don't look good (too clean, wrong color, flat details etc.). Is anyone able to edit it? Yeah, by all means, rethink what DCS is for you, because "I want it all! I want it now!" won't get you anywhere, neither here or in real life. Would you still fly DCS in current version if the development halts suddenly? If you don't like it now there's little chance you will in the future. It's nice to get features and fixes from time to time but constantly waiting for it to come (or not) is not productive and will only frustrate. This game is made for entertainment. Fly more, less forum rant People rarely come to forums to tell how great it was to fly DCS but still they do sometimes. Most come to discuss, report a bug or look for a resolution to a problem. That's understandable - not an issue and certainly not a "doom". @SloppyDog You're comparing old times full release with current early access releases. Of course C-130 and MiG-29 will be released with bugs and unfinished features - early access is not for everyone. It's either that or a few years more for every module which in turn kills ED's and 3rd party's business. @Blackhawk NC @Tom P Even russians didn't have any better "redfor" aircraft until late 2000s. Find a more realisticly set MP server or fly with similar minded people on close servers, find a squad that you fit in. Public PvP MP is neither realistic nor fun.

@ASW Do you have any other mods that could have the Sounders file structure issue that is causing a conflict? I don't use any mods from CH so perhaps am trying to help from a base of sand, so to speak, but sometimes the obvious things can get overlooked and it takes someone with no preconceptions on the subject to chime in. Apologies if you have already covered off all these bases.
