cannot produce and mssing track file JDAMS falling off target
Sinclair_76 replied to Sting_Array's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you are putting 0 for the elevation then that is your problem. I also think you are misunderstanding what AGL means and how to use it. If you set the altitude for a Stpt in the F16 to 0 that is completely wrong. That's the fastest way in ME to get AGL. The ME doesn't accept an altitude below AGL so it defaults to AGL. -
Looks like a one-off issue. After a reboot they (mostly) appear to work normally though sometimes I still get kills not registered. Say I kill 5 vehicles I only get 2 kills in the log, but it's quite random. I can try to grab a log/trk next time but the mission does run MOOSE scripting.

After finding this YT video on updating WW firmware it looks like I'm good to go and do not need any updates so long as the version number in both Current and Latest firmware are the same.

Hi @VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants, I have posted the usage of the app, and no reply yet.

Mostly spin prevention, but I never forced students to do it. I did encourage them to ask.

What is the MAR for an AIM-7M/MH Sparrow in DCS World?
AeriaGloria replied to CommandT's topic in Sim Research
Fly and wire gives from 10 nm at low Altitude to 16 nm at high. This seems quite over estimated to me though, I have gotten away with half these values -
STUDIO MIX IN SOUND SYSTEM NOT WORKING IN DCS
450Devil replied to SKYWARRIOR's topic in General Bugs
I may be wrong but I think DCS can only send audio out to one sound device as selected in the Options menu. - Today

In fact it doesn't appear to work at all. See the attached mission which tests a few embarking/disembarking things. LCVP 1 is supposed to start the mission with Commando 1 aboard, similar to the way Commando 2 starts aboard the UH1 Huey. As you can see it doesn't work, they spawn on the beach rather than in the LCVP, despite apparently being set up the same way as Commando 2. Commando 3 and LCVP 2 shows the LCVP embarking feature working surprisingly well when picking up a group from a shoreline. The LCVP ramp is animated, the commandos get on board and are visible on board, the LCVP backs away from the shore and sails away. All good stuff, I just want a way to have infantry aboard the LCVP's at mission start for amphibious assault scenarios. I can't right now think of a way to accomplish this. Operation Forager.miz

Based on the response it is more like they don't see an issue with the way its implemented so they don't feel it is not working therefore nothing will be done. I've given up on a completed hornet, supercarrier and other modules at this point. I'm back to the old A-10 which is the only really completed module other than the F-14.

@Raven (Elysian Angel)I just remembered. You mentioned icing. Did you have the pitot tube heater on? I'm thinking about the switches on the left side. I once forgot to turn it on before a flight. It took a while to warm up. -

investigating CTD after commanding George to engage FCR target

It happened in online server missions too (although my recent tests have all been various single player missions). But I'll try that too, even though I suck at making missions. -

British bombs are planned already, however we are not sure when they'll be added. We have to look through each of ED's bomb models, and check for the 14 inch spaced lugs. I doubt their rockets will fit though, as the mounting lugs need adjusting.

It represents the gimbal limit. So when on left/right border of the HUD the target is 70 degrees to the side. When at the top/bottom the target is 60 degrees to the top/bottom. In the FF though the top/bottom borders will actually represent 45 degrees, as the radar can only point 45 degrees down. Since gimbal limit is represented by diamond in FF, it will be a bit harder to use on a left crank as the HUD has no right border, and thus you will need to look at the HDD to see the right HUD border there for FF.

Removing HVAR rockets does not remove the pylons.

I don't know if it can be corrected. I'll let the programmers know. -
Wow .... you completely misinterpreted what Nineline said, he wasn't making fun of loosing modules at all, he was making fun of Beirut and his comments with regards to demands, because to be blunt, making any sort of demand when you can't comprehend what's said on the first page, deserves to have the piss taken out of it.. it's self entitlement on a grand scale.

I was working on one and having fits the decals on the ED model. That being said, I’m working with some guys on an AI D MODEL. If we can get all the parts lined up…then it’s on to the flight model. Stay tuned.

If you are putting 0 for the elevation then that is your problem. I also think you are misunderstanding what AGL means and how to use it. If you set the altitude for a Stpt in the F16 to 0 that is completely wrong. Say you have a tgt and coords X, Y, and the ground is 1850 MSL. You wouldn't put 0 into the DED, because if you did then you are telling the system that at X,Y the elevation of the ground is at sea level. Doing this will move your stpt "under" the ground which would translate to your bombs hitting far away. The number you should put into your DED is the MSL of the ground, so in this case 1850. Now you are telling the system that at X,Y the ground is 1850 above MSL. I've never had a problem with GBU falling that far from a target. 50-100 meters pretty far outside the CEP. Go ahead and place a stpt and put the number you see for Altitude on the F10 map into the DED and try again. And don't compare the Hornet's system with the Viper's. You will just further confuse yourself and others.
