  2. Thanks! How do you access that? There are times when I miss what they said, and then I don't remember what I was supposed to do next. So I took out the Flankers, returned to watch the Hinds do their thing, then went after the Fulcrums. Wingman and I took them all down, but I never got an RTB. Flew back to base and landed, and I got a 50. LastMissionTrack.trk
  3. Fixed! Thanks for pointing out. I advice to reinstall it, has a little change in SFM, which responds for pilot blacking out. Before that I put the wrong value accidentally.
  4. It doesn’t matter as the ED side of things is still always changing and causing problems with campaigns. So the Tomcat being out of EA won’t change that. The campaign makers have two focus. Either planes they like, or stuff they know will sell. And stuff they know will sell means Hornet and Viper.
  5. The problem about the C-101, was the CASA never planned them as a COIN aircraft. The C-101BB was a export trainer, the C-101CC was only a light attack version, but missing many advance funtionality. A more advanced version (C-101DD) with Radar, Chaff and flares, advanced HUD, balistic computer, RWR, HOTAS, AGM-65 Maverick compatibility and other improvements, never enter on production but was only centred on the USA market, no as a aircraft to the EDA (Spanish Air Force) never was Light Attack versions, only EB trainers. Remember the C-101 (and other aircrafts) missing incendiary and other weapons, no developed by ED on the core.
  6. Have you tried the JULIs yet? As they have the Lima seekers, it might also SEAM. Never tried it TBH.
  7. Still struggling to get the Mic working , works fin in WIN11 and other Apps just not DCS. Options LUA looks like this not sure if the microphone_use,voice_chat_input or voice_chat_output strings are reasonable ? 8. When I first came to DCS around 2021 and looked around, I was confused about what I saw on the WWII side of DCS. The choice of planes seemed odd and ED didn’t really seem overly enthused about continuing fleshing out more in that time-frame. It seemed as if they had started down one direction and then abandoned it. It just didn’t make sense. So being curious I dug deep trying to understand what ED’s game plan was for WWII long term and what was the plan with the current state? As I did I learned more about this store and realized some of the things I had herd hinted at just weren’t supported by the facts. I thought it was important enough for DCS history and lore to get a clear telling of the events. I tired to be accurate and fair. Hope I succeeded. Knowing what happened before makes the current state of affairs make more sense. How we got this weird stable of planes and why ED doesn't seem to be all that enthused about continuing on that line at the moment instead of getting to their own WWII plan, which at the moment I believe will be PTO to block Combat Pilot. Now it explains why they seemed to have start in one direction and now are going another. The current situation was never the plan. It's the wreckage. Cheers.
  9. Yeah, that really begs the question. Maybe because the game was free, there were interactive training missions, I didn't even think of it because nowhere was the mention of manuals when i Installed the game or started it. I'm not alone. [emoji2373] Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  10. Have you tried to turn off Force Feedback in the general DCS settings? Under misc or something. Unless you do use FFB of course.. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  11. As this is the first Quad engine DCS module, a thought has occurred to me that a large number of simmers in DCS will only have the standard duel engine throttle. Orion, Warthog, Thrustmaster etc. Granted there may be some who also fly civilian simultors who will have more throttle axis like the Honeycomb Bravo so they will be fine, BUT I hope the devs haven’t forgotten that this may present a issue and provide axis binding options that will allow 2 engines to be controlled by a single throttle axis. While I am aware this isn’t at all realistic, it would be a simple solution when bringing a Quad engined aircraft into a what has been effectively a Duel engine simulator. luckily I do have the Honeycomb, BUT I know at least 2 others in my Sqn only have Duel throttles and I’m sure they aren’t the only ones here in that situation.
  12. I primarily fly the 25T and I've had that exact same issue for quite a while now as well. It doesn't happen all the time, however, it does happen >50% of the time at least. I absolutely can not figure out what determines if I'll dive into the ground or not when activating autopilot, but I know it happens at least with the level flight, baro, and radar altitude modes. I almost never touch my altimeter settings in the 25T so I'm not sure what's causing it. I can try to enable an autopilot mode and chances are I'll dive into the ground so I can test with adjusting the altimeter.
  13. + dogfighting the Bf109 is really hard. I got ass-kicked by AI 5-6 times to 1. The only chance I got is head-on which was rarely happening because the Bf109 is faster and can climb better. With boom and zoom tactics I managed to beat a slower P-47. But most of the time, the Bf109 easily got to my 6. Apparently turn and burn doesnt work with Bf109, even it is hard to out turn the P-47 in a horizontal dogfight. The Corsair in DCS is very different from IL-2. I was a IL-2 player and familiar with dogfighting tactics. In IL-2 the F4U Corsair can do BnZ and TnB quite good.
  14. You say they clearly had it for a while, but that may not necessarily be the case. The FMS is just a FMS, anyone with anytime flying airliners in Xplane or MSFS will be comfy with inputting data into that. Finally the skills some of us have been honing for years in civilian flightsims are finally transferrable to DCS. ( hopefully we can keybind out Winwing FMS buttons to the Hercs FMS. Will make things so much quicker I am hoping they are doing quite a few videos mind you, this landing was great, and while it may not show things blowing up, it was still a very enjoyable video and got me excited to fly the Herc. I may not be great at A2A but logistics flying it’s right up my alley.
  15. ok thank you, ill try this and report later.
  16. Today
  17. Huge thanks to everyone that answered and gave me advice. It did make my mind up to take a gamble on the HF8 Pro which turned up a few days ago. I have to admit to being rather surprised at how different and how much better it is than the original HF8 that I couldn’t get on with at all and returned after a week. This one works well with Simshaker, doing carrier ops and flying Helos is magnificent again, and it’s taken me back to those first feelings when I got the jetseat all those years ago. Thankyou once again for the advice. cowboy10uk
  18. How is that possible?
  19. Yep, that would make sense. Glad it has been reported.
  20. Now I noticed another detail: why is he comparing the Mi-8 with the Mi-24, since they have two different navigation systems? I don't know how to relate to the settings in both countries. Yes, I'm basing this on Polish experience.
  21. I have recently finished enough of my F18 cockpit (OpenHornet inspired) and I'm at the point where I don't need the cockpit in the sim to be visible. My only issue is that when I turn on no-cockpit mode the WinWing UFC screens stop updating and stay on whatever text was there. Everything is still working (e.g. I can hit A/P and choose an autopilot mode) but the text on the screens doesn't update to show selection options. Going back to normal cockpit view and the screens update again and work like normal. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.
  22. +1 Moral to the story I tried to show is: don't expect people to not start asking questions when they find out something is off, because not even Shell is above scrutiny Regardless how this RB <profanity>storm ends, the big question which has come to attention is if the "VAEO insurance" is actually applicable to any current modules or was it just ED spouting BS at the time to prevent losing customer trust As this is outside the dispute and ED themselves advertised it, it is well within the ability of ED to answer this
  23. Why are you always so bloody negative about things that doesn't concern you or affect you at all? In my country we call it mouth diarrhea. I wasn't aware there were manuals two years into this game. And as you may have noticed, quite often people are asking for them. It's not like they're practically in your face. And to be honest the user interface leaves a lot to be desired! Yes, you can click the icons, while they doesn't actually scream "Pick me! Pick me!" The Launcher is quite the step in the right direction, and has been asked for many times over the years, in which each and every post you have opposed the idea. Why do you care if the user experience for new and existing users is better and more intuitive?
  24. Hi @MAESTR0, Thanks for the creation of the CWG map. Even in phase 1, it's awesome. I know that there are so many landmarks and monuments and you can't re-create every single one. Could you tell us something about the decision making process in what it's worth to create and what to leave aside? Having been in the area lately on vacation, monuments in Kassel and around are looking awesome. Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal near Porta Westfalica is missing so: 52°14'44.7"N 8°54'23.6"E What I'm missing a bit are the details for the reservoirs and dams in the central part of Germany. The shape of the lakes / reservoirs is nice when flying up high, but going down low through the valleys by plane of even more helicopter, the water elevation changes drastically within the lake having no dam construction. This looks extremely strange at Edersee. Would be awesome if this could be created in later phases of the map. UGRA did a great job recreating the dams in Syria map, e.g. near Adana. Also the historical relevance of the Talsperren needs to be taken into account, as mentioned here in this post: Some locations of the dams: Edertalsperre / Edersee: N 51°10'56.23" E 9°03'39.43" Aabachtalsperre: N 51°29'47.77" E 8°43'11.38" Möhnesee: N 51°29'23.09" E 8°03'34.37" Sorpetalsperre: N 51°21'03.1" E 7°58'05.4" Biggetalsperre: N 51°06'39.17" E 7°53'16.44" Wiehltalseperre: N 50°56'11.14" E 7°40'03.12" Hennesee Staudamm: N 51°20'06.24" E 8°16'25.45" Diemeltalsperre: N 51°22'39.88" E 8°43'39.62" Rappbodetalsperre: N 51°44'23.45" E 10°53'34.19" Okertalsperre: N 51°51'01.59" E 10°27'34.14" Sösetalsperre: N 51°44'19.42" E 10°18'40.99" Odertalsperre: N 51°38'45.60" E 10°30'23.08" Granestausee: N 51°54'41.3" E 10°22'41.9" Innerstestausee: N 51°54'51.68" E 10°17'48.80" Eckertalsperre: N 51°50'28.50" E 10°34'47.34" Talsperre Pöhl N 50°32'57.11" E 12°10'48.38" (not in current detail area) Thanks again for the great work and listening to the community. I really enjoy using the CWG map. Jens
  25. I have track files disabled. I’ll see what happens tomorrow…
  26. I can't say I'll print this one, but I've certainly printed such long manuals in the past. And will again. My printer is very ink-effecient tho, and is an ink well based one so ink are much cheaper than cartridge-based ones.
